there have been no known tea side effects untill recently. as everybody know, tea has always been good for the heart, blood vessel, against autoimmune disease or cancer.
however, researcher fromt he rutgers university found that drinking tea could cause chromosome damage and feral leukemia.
they found that the phytochemicals, derived from plant foods and present in tea extracts, could have biological activity in the body and cause dangerous side effects
wah, i am a tea fans~=.= so sad to hear about the news

I find these conclusions ridiculous, Millions of people drank millions of tea's for thousands of years. The hell with science in this case, everything is dangerous to a certain extent but it's benefits completely outweigh the cons.

I hadn't heard anything about it. Where did you hear the news? Was it on a legitimate web site or on a news broadcast? If so, then it probably is true.
I find the news very unfortunate as well, because I like to drink tea. I have never cared too much for coffee, so if everyone is having something hot to drink (like in the morning with breakfast) then I will usually have tea.
I also like to keep a pitcher of tea in the refrigerator. It is a lot cheaper to make than purchasing juice or soda. Maybe I'll have to switch to Kool-Aid. LOL
