Just how American are you? I have started asking my self this question as i embark on a job search. I have been filling out job applications at many different places though out the last week and there is a question on the applications that have got me thinking. As veterans day has come and gone I salute all who have served and are serving. These men and women fight for my freedoms to worship, freedom of speech, rights to bare arms, and basically to keep living the American way of life. The questions that have been on my mind are are you legally eligible to work in the United States? Question #2 what is your race. What does my race have to do with it if i am legally eligible to work in the USA. There are men and women fighting for my rights right now and as an American citizen i will use my freedom of speech today. Does my race matter if according to the government we are all created equal? I Answered yes to I am legally eligible to work in the United States. I could be black, white, pink, red, purple for that matter who cares as long as i have the qualifications to do the job I am applying for. I am a red blooded American born and raised. I salute my flag and say the pledge that goes with it God Bless America. A solution to my problem is I have started checking Other for my race on applications, now remember its not just jobs applications that ask this question its government, rental, you name it wants to know my race. I am now Other American I have been putting that on the applications Thank you to all service men and women for giving me this right.
