This was an exercise that I remember doing when I was in youth group and in school and it was always an enlightening experience. I'd like to see what words other people use to describe themselves.
For me they are:
1. Caring
2. Honest
3. Emotional
4. Selfless
5. Friend
The reason that I chose these words to describe myself is because they fulfill almost everything about my life. I've always been the kind of person that puts other people before myself and I've always been the person that cares for people regardless of their situation.

If I were to mention 5 words to describe myself the words will be as follows -
1. Honest
2. Patient
3. Shy
4. Helpful
5. Dedicated
These words are the best that could describe me. I am honest and very straight forward. My friends and family say that I am the most patient person they have come across. I have been introvert and shy since my birth. I try to help anyone as much as I can do and of course I am dedicated in what I do or would like to do. I hope I have explained myself as much as I could have.

You sound like the kind of person that would be wonderful in the medical field, or really in any other helping field. What, if you don't mind me asking, is it that you do with your life?

well, these are the things I have seen in me. The statement is that if i am to describe not how others describe me. Well, if others may see it differently with my description, I could say these are the things I consider to be me since I always be myself and I don't use to mingle with many people that I could get much opinion about what they could say about me.

These are all very intriguing things about you. I'd really like to have the opportunity to hear why these things are the characteristics that you use to describe yourself.

Mine would be
1) Sensitive
2) Passionate
3) Persistent
4) Hard Working
5) Open minded
Because:
1) I am normally the first to notice things about people and surroundings
2) I have passion for life and that reflects on things in relation to it
3) I go after what I want and what I believe in
4) I am not afraid of hard work and I believe that you can only achieve through it
5) I am open minded to a point where what I think is acceptable can be offensive to some

The one trait about you that really stands out is open-mindedness. I too am like that I don't care if someone else makes a choice that is not the same choice as I would have made, it is the fact that they are comfortable with their choices that makes me comfortable with other people.

It is important to be a people person for the reason that you mentioned. It is always good to be able to be around other people and if you help others when they need it, then when you in turn need help there will be other people to help you.

Caring, loving, considerate,a listener and problem solver.I say this because as a woman and mother you must look after those in your care making sure they get the things they need. You must love those around you.I find out most about my kids just by listening and helping them solve problems they come across.Sometimes a bit of advise is called for or just reasurance. That is what describes why I have put the things I have and the reasons for it.

ok here goes
1. weird. if you ever met me in person i can almost guarantee that thats the first thing that you would think. i like to do things differently and at my own pace than everyone else usually.
2.funny. i don't think i'm that funny but other people seem to so i suppose it fits.
3.procrastinator. i'm not afraid to admit it i suck at doing things when i should do them and not just deciding to do them later.
4.forgetful. not only do i procrastinate i forget whatever it was that i was supposed to do till like a week after i decided to do it later which doesn't help.
5.reader. a good book is usually the reason for the last two things. i just get so sucked in that i forget time still goes on wile i'm reading.

You sound just like one of my friends from high school. I think if he were to give a description of himself he too would start the list with the fact that he was weird. Much like you, I do find that I procrastinate and forget things and I also am frequently the victim to a good book.

Get-Me-Out-Of-Here!
That's 5 right? I know I am destined for something great, but I am always stuck in certain situations. I always feel that there is always something better out there! It's not conventional, but my 5 words form a sentence, a description of what I am feeling. Of wanting to escape.

This is both funny and sad at the same time. Are you really that unhappy with your life that you truly want to escape every aspect of your life as it is right now?

Your discussion is really interesting. Of course, I have just met such a question during an interview.
1.Hardworking
2.Trustful
3.Friendly
4.Stubborn
5.Independent
From where I stand, hardworking is the most important thing to describe myself because I have spent much time on my career and in order to make my dreams come true earlier, I work hard everyday and try my best to be a better person.

Yes, it is true that you have to be hardworking and persistant to make your dreams come true and both of these things are also things that help us to be a better person. So, do you also find that you are a persistant person as well?

This is interesting so I decided to answer it. To describe myself in 5 words it would be as follows:
Patient
Creative
Loving
Intelligent
Selfless
These are words that I think would best fit to describe me. I find myself patient especially to my son and husband. Not everyday is a good day for my son thus I need to be very patient to understand every signle tantrum he has. Same for selfless, I am not then it would be hard to look out for my son first and his dad before myself.

Another one of those characteristics that is incredibly important for a mother is patience. You are a wonderful woman to be able to deal with your son's trantrums.

I usually find these things quite hard. I remember doing one at school where we all had bits of paper stuck on our backs and we had to write on each others backs what we thought were their best qualities! I remember that everyone wrote on me 'good singer', 'good songwriter' and 'good actor'. Which is great but all I remember thinking is that no one said anything that was actually about my personality, so maybe it was horrible..lol
So...
1. Creative (the singing, acting, blah blah...see, I put it first too..lol)
2. Passionate (if I believe in something I will FIGHT for it!)
3. Emotional (I'm a crier!)
4. Determined (I don't give up)
5. Funny (erm, so I've been told!)

You know, come to think of it, when I was in high school, I was on the organizational team for the youth group at my church and our award one year was a gold record with song names based on things about us, and a lot of them were related more toward my interests than to my personality as well. I think in a lot of cases, our personality is something that is taken for granted.

This question is quite often asked in Job interviews as well. Even in self development workshops. Here it is this is how i would like to describe.
1. Reliable 2. Friendly 3. Helpful 4. Submissive 5. Aspiring
Its not only positive things that we can think of ourselves, even the negative adjectives describe us.

You are indeed right, if there was not a single negative adjective that we could think of that would describe us, would we be at all human? No human is perfect and it is important to realize this fact.

I would have to say...
1. Mom - I am a mom of two girls, they are what I live for.
2. Shy - Only around people I don't really know, I think I am too worried about what people are thinking about me.
3. Procrastinator - I wait till the last minute to do everything.
4. Forgiving - I forgive easily - sometimes too easily.
5. Spontaneous - I love to be spontaneous, it makes life so much more fun.

It's really funny, but also very true that when a mother is asked to describe herself, she does say that she is a mother. I think as a mother that is the one singular thing that describes us is mother.
