Low Carb dieting for the inept!

So, about three months ago, I started the low carb diet. My partner wanted to lose some weight before Christmas, and I kinda got sucked in... But I'm a bit a of a low carb evangelist now: it really works! I tipped the scales at 11st 12 at my heaviest, which isn't too bad for a 5'11' male. But after a few months avoiding all forms of stodge, I've somehow shrunk to a mere 9st 12 - I've lost a whopping two stone! (She's lost two and a half...) Now my partner says that I'm too skinny, which is probably true. None of my clothes fit properly. But I go to bed with a full stomach every night and have plenty of energy in my daily life... Anyway - does anyone else subscribe to this diet? Does anyone have any recipe recommendations? I tend to cook a lot of casseroles, eat plenty of meat and dairy, loads of fruit, vegetables and nuts - but no pasta, potatoes or rice! The greatest innovation has been the preparation and cooking of cauliflower rice: tasty (with a little garlic and spring onion), nutritious and delicious, and no carbs! What are your success stories?

I would go for low-carbohydrates diet and more on vegetables and fish. And exercise daily to balance your body's health.

Ah. Exercise. That's where the problems start... I would certainly exercise more often if it wasn't raining outside just at the moment! I think I'll pass. Fish on a Friday, though - guess what's for dinner tonight?

I don't go on low carb diets. I just take food in moderation and cut down on sugars, fatty food and some carbs altogether. I don't know if that counts as a low carb diet because I don't really focus on carbs alone. Eating healthier does make a noticeable difference because the end result is you lose weight and feel a lot better with more energy, too. Congratulations on your story. I hope you continue to live a healthy lifestyle. I don't think you're too skinny, personally. If you're healthy at what you weigh now and you feel good, I suggest you stay that way. Just a thought. Cheers.
