I have one bathroom and there are five children as well as two adults that are here and that is with out people visiting and needing the bathroom.I am now seriously considering to get some money together to build another one down stairs.I hate having to wait for the bathroom as when you have got to go for a pee you have got to go.

yes, if you have 5 children, 1 bathroom is not enough. we have 3 children, and we have 2 bathrooms. surprisingly, children have the urge to use the bathroom at the same time, so they always fight each other to use it.

I hate having only one bathroom as it is like we are all lining up to wait for our turn.We are either thinking of moving or having another washroom put in as there is nothing worse than having to wait for the loo as well as wait to have a wash because either someone is on the loo or some one is in the bath so you have to wait for them to finish.

yeah, sometimes it isn't waiting for a moment, but nothing to do except waiting,2 bathrooms must need, or have one nearby your home for some public.

Thank you.I am going to try to get another bathroom as this is a pain for all of us having to wait our turn to go to the loo as well as when we have people come to visit us they also have to wait as well.Even if i only want to take a bath they all seem to need to come in the bathroom which then of course you can not take your time and relax.

I also wait for my younger brother to finish inside the bathroom. Sometimes arguments starts when I need it first and he was inside knowing that his school was just near our home and I was the one who travel very far away. he can't give way, he always wanted to be the first one to use it. Because I am the older I can give way at one time but not all the time. We only have one bathroom , so it is understandable that there is arguing and one will have to give way.

It is annoying when you have to wait for the bathroom. I am happy that our apartment has two bathrooms. It is much more convenient to have two. Besides we don't have so many people in our family, which is also part of the convenience that we have.

I was told by a health professional that i can get a grant that i do not bhave to pay back for a washroom as there are alot of people that live in this house as well as there are medical reasons just for one person here that could be a reason to get a grant due to a health problem. So i may ask about it after Christmas.

I know what you mean about the bathroom. There are five of us in the household. Four adults and one child. I do wish we had another bathroom.

We only have on bathroom in our house between three of us.No problem at all.Even when the house is full with visitors we have no problem. We all get up at different times in the morning,if I had five children all getting up at the same time it would be a different story. My friend has three bathrooms there are only three of them one each.I would like to have an upstairs toilet but It is too late now as the other two kids have flown the nest.Suprising how you manage despite everything. If I was in your shoes I would save up for another bathroom if I could.

I always hated that when I was younger. We only had one bathroom in the house also and there was two adults and four children living there. I have pottied in my pants when I was younger because I could not hold it any longer and could not go outside to use it because of the neighbors being able to see me.

i have one relative that spends forever in there and then when he gets out believe me you don't want to go after him.

We have two bathrooms. One half bath and then the one upstairs with the bath tub. My granddaughter has come back to us for a while and she has to take baths several times a day and put on make up and who knows what else so there are alot of time the bathroom upstairs that used to be mine for the most part is now monopolized by the Princess now days.

For many years I lived in a one bath home so as soon as we were able to buy our own home the main thing I wanted was at least two baths. I never regret having two and am always thankful.

Hi,there.Your post just reminds me to add one more advantage to singlehood.I never have to wait for the bathroom!I live with my parents in the fourth floor and the bathroom is all mine.It scares me a little that after marriage,I have to share everything.Luckily, its still a long way to go.

If you only have one bathroom for six people that is not enough. You should build at least a half bathroom that includes a sink and toilet only. You can fit one of these in the space a closet takes, it does not need the full space of a full bathroom. It will certainly make life easier.
Also if you are a male (or even female) consider stashing a urinal in your bedroom. It is a satisfactory alternative if you have to get up in the middle of the night, or get stuck in a lineup for the toilet. Be sure to empty it as soon as possible as leaving it for a long period of time will make it start to smell.

I hate when this happens. Our house also only has one bathroom, but thankfully it isn't that big of a deal when there are only the four of us. However, before we moved into our house we lived in my mother's house and there were a total of ten people and one bathroom. It was a real pain in the rear end because you were never able to use the bathroom or take a shower without someone disturbing you. In fact, if you were taking a shower, there was a rule that the door was not allowed to be locked.

hi jugsjugs yes indeed when you gotta go you gotta go. Yes having two bathrooms is really a must in a large family like yours.
In our last apartment my son and I each had our own bathroom
and it was just heaven. Although I did have to borrow his walk in shower as I had broken my left shoulder in a fall, and had a
balance problem. but in my own bathroom I could have my cosmetics out and not be in my son's face all the time. it was really wonderful.

When I was growing up there were four kids, two working parents and one bathroom. I don't know how we managed! Aside from my first apartment I've always had either two bathrooms or a bath and a half. I hear ya about when you gotta go, you gotta go!

I do feel for you as I hate having to wait even for my husband in our one bathroom, and there's only the two of us! I can't even imagine!
In my family home there were two bathrooms and that was so much easier, I recommend it! At the moment we're in a one bedroom apartment so that, of course, would be a little ridiculous!

Same thing happens to me. I have one washroom for 4 people including myself. It seems whenever I have to go someone is in there. It sucks a lot!!
