What are Siddhis or Psychic Powers? Are These Necessary For Enllightenment or God-Realization. Greetings! Topic for Debate. Kindly state your stand whether siddhis or Psychic Powers are necessary for enlightenment. Definition and classification of Siddhis: Siddhi is a Sanskrit word that literally means "perfection", "accomplishment", "attainment", or "success". It is also used as a term for spiritual power (psychic ability). The term is used in that sense in Hinduism and Tantric Buddhism. These spiritual powers supposedly vary from relatively simple form of clairvoyance to being able to levitate, to be present at various different places simultaneously, to become as small as an atom, to materialize objects, to have access to memories from past lives, and more.
