Do you have to be Catholic?

Yes, it is true. Humor can be an extermely effective weapon against one's political enemies. For example, consider this little story: " The Pope and Nancy Pelosi are on stage in front of a huge crowd. The Pope leans towards Mrs. Pelosi and said, "Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, like that of your followers, but go deep into their hearts and for the rest of their lives whenever they speak of this day they will rejoice!" Pelosi replied, "I seriously doubt that; with one little wave of your hand? Show me." So the Pope slapped her. " Undoubtedly, part of the source of the humor of the above is that Senator Pelosi is Catholic and her political views are often at variance with the Pope's and the Catholic Church's teachings. Still, even as a non Catholic, this was very funny IMHO. I say the story is extremely funny and that one does not need to be Catholic to think so. What do you say? Is the story funny? Know any others? Tell us.

Yep, it's funny. Now... what took the Pope so long? I think we should follow this example... so let the Nazi Piglosi slapping begin...

We might as well slap her. She is red faced with embarrasment from her remarks all the time. A few million slaps won't make much difference.

This is very funny. I do have a question, are there any Catholic political leaders in the US who are not pro abortion and who actually stand for solid Christian principles who are examples to the general populace? I cannot for the life of me think of anyone. John Kerry and the Kennedys are all I can think of right now, and certainly they need the pope to wave his hand and make most of America happy.

That's great!! You made me laugh! I'm going to send that joke to my Catholic cousin, she'll love it. She doesn't understand why Pelosi hasn't been excommunicated for her endorsement of abortion. No, you don't have to be Catholic to understand this joke but you do have to know something about the politics of the U.S.

The Pope probably doubts his authority with ordinary Catholics to the extent he fears many Catholics would side with Pelosi if Pelosi was excomminicated.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden were flying in a helicopter. Barack saw some people below and told Joe that if he drop a hundred dollar bill he could make one of them happy. Joe said that he could make ten people happy my dropping ten, ten dollar bills. The pilot said that he could make the whole country happy if he just dropped both of them out of the helicopter.

I think it is funny. I am not Roman Catholic but I wish that I could give her a real KO punch. Maybe he could excommunicate her as well.

You are right the Pope should consider excommunication.
