I have good news! I've been sick with what I believe is the swine flu since last Saturday. My chest felt like an elephant was sitting on it and I've had fever and chills. Well, my chest feels MUCH better today! Yippee!!!!! The fever/chills are also gone and my voice is almost back to normal. I lost it, probably because of the coughing I was doing. I'm still coughing but not nearly as much or as hard.
So, yep, I'd call that good news. 
I hope I'll have some more good news later today. Well, it would be GREAT news if it happens. I've been told that my big disability check could be coming today in the mail! After waiting for over 7 years to be approved for disability, then waiting for almost 3 months to get any benefits at all, it looks like it might just happen today! I'm so psyched!

Thank you, Hatley. I read the symptoms of the swine flu compared with the regular flu and colds and my symptoms matched those of the swine flu. I didn't feel the need to go to the doctor because it wasn't that bad. My fever didn't get above 101 and I didn't have any trouble breathing.
The bad part about it is that I think I picked it up in the hospital! I took my son to the ER last Wednesday evening because he was screaming in pain from an abscessed wisdom tooth and no dentist was available that late. Two days later I started feeling bad and by the next day I felt just awful! But, it was mostly the weakness that was the worst part of it. I drank a lot of juice and water, rested and kept warm. That did the trick, apparently, because I'm feeling SO much better today. 
You make sure to stay healthy, too, okay? I made the mistake of touching my face before washing my hands and I think that's how I got sick.

I have good news! Friday the 13th has finally arrived!! I am going to a concert tonight that was planned months ago! Can't wait! 
Bad news? Not got any yet and I am certainly not going out to try and search for some just for the sake of having some to put here in this response

Oh no-one famous (well not yet 
) but you may remember I did a task a while back? All About Kane, the band my son plays in, were playing near here tonight and I just had to go because I know they will not be playing again soon as they have other things on their plate in the next few months, including recording a CD
I've only just got back and happy to report that the audience there was enthusiastic once again They are still on my profile just in case you are not aware of them.

hi ElicBxn good for you , a nice weekend to enjoy; my news will sound silly to all who are not technophobes, and can handle any and all computer problems themselves. we had our electricity turned off last night from ten pm to two am. thus of course knocking my computer off the net. well my son had visited me last night and showed me which line to unplug and replug in on both the modem and the router. He said the outage might not even affect my ability to get on the net. well news for him, it did , I could get on the computer okay but not on the net. so with shaking hands I unplugged the tiny one he said to unplug then plug back in on the modem, then on the router the same way then turned on my computer again. Voila I am back on the net, good as new and I did it myself. hip hip hooray. So now if I ever get knocked off the net I know how to reset my computer. It was a biggie for me as I am totally a technophobe.

Yay for your weekend off!!!
Good news for me: I get to go to a comedy club tonight and get out of the house without my kids.
Bad news: I'll be dragging butt tomorrow as I have to get up with the kids and they usually get up about 6am

That's good but I feel sorry for your roomie though. I hope she got rested up before she goes back. I guess the good news here is, that we started our Christmas shopping but the bad news is, we are not near to be done with it. Everything is outragious!

Hi Elic,
i got one, the good news is I am going to a friends house for a get together, but the bad nes is I have to have my flu jab in the morning but I know I am going to be ill so I have to cancel out the gathering and miss all the fun.

No news to speak of at present except that my uncle arrived from Venezuela so we will be taking them out somewhere tomorrow. He is here with his partner and they are staying with my parents. I feel sorry for your roomie; not much is worse than that first day when you have been away for few weeks! My husband is counting down for his holidays over Christmas. Next weekend I will have four girls having a sleepover for my daughter’s birthday so that should be nice and quiet...Not!!

I used to hate going back to work after a holiday.now I cannot stand coming back to normal life,while away we live in our caravan which is easy to keep tidy so I spend a lot of time just being lazy.such hard work to come back to a house and have it all to do again.You have the weekend off you lucky man relax and have a rest.Most times my husband has days off in the week ,sometimes he has weekends off so then it is even better because our son is home as well and we can spend family time arguing with each other.It is quite funny really.my son asks his Dad to show him how to do something.Then my son tells him he is wrong.My husband goes mad.Poor chap I do feel sorry for him .

Friday is good news for me as well! This weekend, my husband and I are going to my dad's house and hunting (which we all enjoy, so I am sure that it is going to be a blast!). As far as bad news, I am happy to say that I don't really have any. I am more of a positive person and since today is Friday, how could there be any bad news to share?! Haha. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
* Here it supposed to be in the 70's, so I am way excited for that as well!

The good news is that Hubby and I are going to Toronto for a couple of days at Christmas. We're leaving bright and early Christmas morning, and coming back really late the day after. We are going to check into our favourite hotel, and stay for the night. If we get a windfall in the next month, we'll stay two nights.
The bad news is that the people at the disability office are #$%^ing around with my benefits because I'm now married. Well Hubby's on disability too, but it's American, so he pays his own way, and I pay mine. it's not like we can afford to support eachother. LOL
So IF I get to keep my disability, we'll be able to stay two nights.

Good News -- it's FRIDAY!!!Bad News -- my wife picked up an extra shift to make some extra $$$ so only gonna seem like a one day weekend for the two of us

I'm glad to hear you get a few days off. How many days do you usually work in a week? I don't think I have any good news or bad. I guess the good news is that I've had a few curve balls thrown my way but I'm learning to catch them and deal with them as they come. : )
