I love house-hunting shows!

Lately I have found myself watching a lot of house-hunting shows on HGTV. Two of my favorites are called Property Virgins and House Hunters. I enjoy watching the tours of the houses and seeing which house the person/couple/family chooses to be their new home. I find these programs to be very educational too, especially for first-time home buyers. They're also helpful for people who want to sell their house and want ideas on how to improve their properties and make them more appealing to potential home buyers. Have you ever watched these type of shows, and what do you think about them?

I like those shows to. I watch them for much of the same reasons as you. There are lots of things to be learned that you can use for your own house. I like to see how the people pick houses too.G

Hi Anew, yes, I love things like this. And I enjoy seeing homes showcased on internet sites, as well. A good way to pick up color and decorating ideas, or to dream about the kind of house one wants :))

I love it too; especially when they are trying to fit in with their budget and stuff like that. Awesome. And whenever there are also furnishings involved, then it's all the better. Another show I used to watch was Extreme Makeover (Home Edition). That was lovely and the things they make for the people; super awesome.

Afternoon anewlevel, I am also a fan of house hunters. I don't get to watch it as much as I would like to though. I will usually watch reruns on Saturdays. My kids and I love watching and trying to guess what house they will pick at the end, I also love watching to see what they house looks like once they have bought it and fixed it up the way they like. I sometimes think gosh I really like that house or decorating sense to that house. I have used some of the ideas and color schemes in my own house.

me too. I love watching home improvement and house hunter type shows too. I get lots of great ideas from them.

I went through this phase too! I imagined myself doing renovations on my home, and selling it after a few months so we could move to a bigger and better home. Sometimes I would dream of doing this permanently. Seeing all the profits they make after turning a house was really addicting.
That's before the real estate market crashed! And before the value of our home went down.
