Every year there is a month destined for us to celebrate. The month of our birthday.
But, eventhough there is a month for this, does everybody wants to celebrate his or her birthday. I have observed that some people just ignore this special day and let it passed by without doing anything not even to give thanks for this special day.
How about you, do you celebrate your birthday? If not, how do you spend this special day?

My husband makes a big deal out of it. He takes me to dinner and buys me a corsage. We then go to a movie or go bowling. I try to fuss over his birthday but he never allows me to. My husband and I have been together for a little over two years now and he never forgets any special occassions.

I think in the last 10 years my birthday has been a bad day for me, there was always something, or more often someone killing the festive mood. I rememember way too many birthdays spent crying in my room, as I got 17 I decided there'd be no more, and so it's been. Now on bithdays I get a day off work and go somewhere alone, or among strangers, sometimes hiking in the woods, sometimes at malls, sometimes I just drive and go on holiday, it's much, much, much of a better birthday than I used to have at home. In the end, I'm happy too.
