We used to play chinese checkers, carrom board, chess, pallankuzhi, snakes and ladders, word game, dayam etc., when we were small. Even with my children I was playing these games. Pallanguzhi is played in a specially made wooden board with the help of shell type coins.

I used to play Guess Who, BattleShip, Clue, Monopoly, Aggravation and Sorry. I am sure there are others I played but I can't remember them right off hand! I played these with family and friends alike!

I used to play Monopoly, Scrabble, Chinese checkers and Snakes and Ladders. I remember I used to have lots of fun with them. Unfortunately, there are no board games at home right now. So I haven't played them for years. But I think it is about time to introduce to my son Snakes and Ladders since he's 4 and pretty know much how to count. I think it will hone his Math skills and I also get to bond with him.

Not sure what draughts are, I have read the name before. In the US I think it is called Chutes and Ladders, you go up if you do a good thing, down if you do a bad thing. We played checkers, chess, dominoes, and yahoo! which is a lot like parchesi. We played card games a lot as well.

I don't know how to play chess, what I know how to play is millionaire's game and crossword puzzle. I always win in crozzword puzzle, while millionaire's game is so enjoyable to play even now that I grew up because I always get money, imagine it in real life I am already a millionaire. During rainy days , since we can't go out we play board games instead together with whole family.

I remember playing games with my grandpa on Friday nights when I would spend the night with them. He taught me to play Dominoes, and Gin Rummy. He would play Monopoly, but was always the banker and loved to cheat! LOL I think he did it just because he knew I would catch him and fuss at him. He's just laugh when I would!

Board games would mostly be word games like Scrabble and Scribbage. Scrabble being the all time favorite of the family. We also did play Snakes and Ladders which in my opinion is an all time classic board game. I remember that I also had the chance to play Monopoly, where I sucked at being bankrupted everytime me and my cousins play.LOL We also play Dominoes if that can be considered a board game, and those typical 'race-to-finish' board games. I remember mine had a Dumbo photo, I had to help Dumbo get to his mother in the circus, whoever goes there first is the winner. We also played Chinese Checkers, and games of the General, where I was very good at. I never lost at that game as a child. Now I lost my touch.LOL
The one board game that I wanted to learn but never knew how is Chess. I love it being a strategy game and it really requires thinking. Sad to say that I still dont know how and I get headaches even trying. I dont even know each pieces moves, but I do know what the pieces are called and where they are put in the board.

I too play 'Snakes and Ladders' with my siblings and friends.
Later on I was introduced by my brother who bought latest
board game at that time which was 'Master Mind', 'Monopoly',
'Risk' and 'Othello'. I am quite good at those games. They are
still my favourite till today. At times I will play it with my son.
My son loves to play Monopoly too. I begin to collect 'Monopoly'
sets from different countries as I traveled.

I used to play chess, draughts (my dad's favourite), snakes and ladders, ludo (a favourite when younger), scrabble, and monopoly. I once was given a backgammon set, but never got to like the game.

As a child I played checkers, Lost in space, Monopoly. I can't remember any others. My daughter used to play chutes and ladders and now my grand daughter still plays that game. I would not have been able to play snakes and ladders as I am terrified of just a pic of a snake, and even a toy snake too. Happy MyLotting.

There were so many board games my family and I played when I was still a kid including those you mentioned above. However, I think my cousins, siblings and I loved to play Monopoly the most. We were never bored sometimes even we have played it in the morning, we would repeat the game in the evening!
Usually, the youngest and little one would be the Banker just to make her happy that she had a role, and we ended up counting the money ourselves!

I played lots and lots of board games when I am a child.. we do snake and ladders, monopoly, mathable, saidina, and lots and lots of games.
The best game I like the most is the checkers and othello, which gives lots and lots of fun to me and my friends and family.
My dad loves to play checkers, and he will sometimes plays chess too, however I am not a fan of chess as I think this game is bit long. I still prefer checkers.
