I was going into my bedroom this evening and some cat who's voice I didn't recognize meowed demandingly at me.
I looked over at the chest where I put the cat food and Roxie and Emily, one of the feral kittens, were on the chest.
Now, it wasn't Roxie, she looks but almost never makes a sound.
Then Emily opened her mouth and did it again.
Oh MY!Feral cats are, on the whole, very quiet animals, so that one of them was demanding food was quite something else!
I grabbed the bucket I use to bring food to the bedroom and filled first the big bowl in the kitchen and then brought it back and filled the bedroom bowl.
Emily "eeeowww"ed at me again and didn't run when I was moving around - gee willikers, she's getting pushy!

Lol well you know they can be very demanding lol
I used to have 2 Cats like that and now I have Gissi who is like that
He will not stop going on until I put his food down, so I have this little Dog jumping up and down at the back of my Legs till his food is on the Floor lol

Awwww what precious babies you have! I love your pic! It reminds me of my younger one at my parents house. She more belongs to my lil bro though but I think she has some tabby in her and very similar eyes too!

yeah, well, this one and her 2 sibs are so feral that we can barely get close to them, but they are VERY handsome cats
on the other hand, because they are so feral, they don't make much impact in the household, this is the first time in 5 months any of them have asked for anything besides to be left alone!

Sounds almost as if you could be feeding cattle instead of cats. Very demanding. Huge numbers of them too. You are really good to them.

LOL!
i found out in the last few days my new kitty has quite a voice when she wants to.
the first time i opened a can for her (all my cats have dry 24/7-wet food is a breakfast thing) out came a loud "MIIIIIIOW!" from this tiny lil thing.
she's not at all like my last kittens (now 9)..they said nothing until about 2.i was beginning to think they were mute til then.

most kittens have loud meows - Jool, the summer's kitten, was rescued from behind a dumpster - and we figure that the rescuer heard her cry, she had a HUGE voice
she toned it down once she discovered that she didn't have to yell for her dinner.

hi ElicBxn wow what a pretty cat and the markings are just
gorgeous. She must being getting used to you and the other
cats too. I never knew much about feral cats except I thought
they were cats that had been dumped and had gone sort of wild.'
when I was a kid growing up on our farm in South Dakota townspeople would dump unwanted kittens onto our farm.,so I
got to help tame a lot of part wild kittens. I don't know how
a person can be that cruel to just dump a little kitten out in
the country and not even know if someone would find it and care for it.
