I have heard some people in my office discussing holiday cards and how they are sending them. I understand the traditions in mailing out holiday cards, but isn't it time we updated?
Lets talk about all the pro's and con's: Economy - Store sales - postal service - environment.
Here are my thoughts - Snail Mail: In our already busy life styles we have to squeeze in this time consuming task. Go to the store pick out the style you like. Pay for it. Go home and pull out your addressbook, wow I have 50 cards I have to hand write notes in hand write the address seal them go to the post office buy stamps. At the same time we are WASTING all this paper and ink. But then you think if everyone stopped doing this how bad could the economy get in regards to JOBS! and then again there is that Tradition.
Then I think about sending E-cards: Wow I don't have to go to the store. I don't have to stand in line and the best part I SAVE MONEY and the ENVIRONMENT.

I am not a very good letter writer, so I am not a good holiday card sender either!
But when this opportunity comes up on the internet to send holiday cards by e-mail, I love the idea, and now I send cards frequently, because it's so easy and convenient, and there are many choices !
