Now I am the worlds worst when it comes to being organized. I never keep up with anything and lose everything in sight. It is one of my worst habits and i am ready to change. Although I never have been organized, i was just wondering how to start, NOW! Now that i am older and am about to get married i think it is very important to learn this skill if i have to be a wife and mother. Women have to pay all the bills and keep in control of everything so ladies i am in need of your help! Help me!!

I like the idea of making lists. I have started making them. I've switch over to making lists in Excel as they are easy to set up; then it eliminates the paper clutter.

kaseyrene, I think it is a myth that women have to do it all. It just depends on the strengths of the couple. I know one couple where the wife said she was horrible with finances that her husband was the one that kept the checkbook, and track of the finances. She was a nurse and her husband had his own business. They each had their own strengths, and took roles in the marriage based upon those qualities. You may want to talk with your partner, and enlist his help with being organized. He might have some tips that can help you as well.
