The Circle good enough?

I haven't heard it yet, but honestly I think Bon Jovi lost their touch a long time ago. I loved "Slippery When Wet" and a few songs from the following albums. I just haven't been all that impressed with any of their recent material.

It's been a polarising record. I heard it when it first leaked and thought (still do) that it was hands-down their best album since These Days. A lot of fans share my view but many were disappointed as well. Jon's vocals aren't as good as they were on the second half of the Lost Highway tour, but song-wise I thought it was very solid. There's the usual cliched "live your life" stuff we've come to expect, some decent ballads, as well as a greater social consciousness that hasn't been seen since Undivided or maybe even the 90s.
