Do you pray in the morning when you get up from bed.

Not just in the morning, but each time I wake up, at anytime during the day, I'll say a silent prayer to myself and be thankful to God for allowing me to live on this Earth for one more day. I think that I am really appreciate and always thankful for anything and everything that God has given to me and my family. Especially in the bed; each time after waking up. Good discussion here..

My Mom does but I don't. She's religious. I'm not very religious. I do pray but not as much as she does.

Yes, I do pray as soon as I get up in the morning. The moment I get awake, I put both my hands open in front of my face and open my eyes and see my hands. Elders say that, the Goddess of wealth, MahaLaxmi stays in our hands and helps productivity. So I see my hands and say Om Mahalaxmiyai namaha, i.e. my respects to you. Then I look at Shirdi Sai Baba's photo and pray him that this day should pass on to all my family members without any problem. Then I look at Sathya Sai Baba's photo and say Sathya Sai Baba namaha, then look at north side and say Om Shri Kuberaya namaha (God for giving money and he lives in North Direction), then look at East Direction and say Om Shri Adityaya Namaha (Sun God). Then I get up from the bed. When I say fast, this will take hardly 20 seconds.

I sometimes pray but not most often. I always pray before I go to bed and it has become a habit of mine since I was young. I always do the sign of the cross whenever I leave the house. It's my way of asking guidance and protection whenever I leave our house. Have a good day. Happy mylotting too.

I usually pray at nite before sleep. Actually it is good to have thankgiving pray in the morning as we still alive. It's also good to teach our children to pray and keep it as practice.

Hi, neel. I don't necessarily pray just as soon as I get up. But, I do pray sometime during the day. I would like to start doing this. I have relatives that are committed to praying just as soon as they get up in the mornings. They have their own personal altar that they pray at.

hi neelimaravi, I do pray not only in the morning but also in the evening and I do it every day. Although, their may be times i feel tired that after I brush my teeth after a meal would like to hurry to sleep on my bed and takes a few seconds to pray and dose myself to sweet slumber. Just like your husband I see prayers as a daily communion with our creator and it is also the time where I mention all of the things which I like to pray for anything for the blessing, health and family safety. Then, i also treat praying as a form of release as it eases away tension and stress giving a inner peace which could be highly seen on the aura of the face of a person who know to do meditation of praying lead to optimistic pleasing personality which attract more fortune and blessing. have a great day!

hello neeli, yes i think i do that most of the time but not every day. i do pray for our father, hail mary and glory be. and also the apostles creed as well. it's a good way to at least brighten up your day. besides, i do also pray at night as well and it's really nice to talk to god in morning when you wake up and evening before you sleep, or when you are commuting to other places.

...Hi neelimaravi, I don't usually have any formal time when I get on my knees and pray. My way of praying is to pray whenever I have concern, so it's a constant thing for me. Prayer is like my life line, a connection to a comfort zone, and a security blanket all in one. That's why it's hard for me to understand how people could not believe in God, though it is their right. If this is all there is, then it is a sad state of affairs in my opinion. I have to believe that there is a better place with less pain, sorrow and suffering for all of us, for any of this to make any sense at all. Sorry to go out on limb. Take care.

I only pray during the night before I go to sleep. But yeah, many people say that if you pray in the morning, your day will be a good one and you won't feel too much stress during the day.

Yes, I pray in the morning and throughout the day. I talk with my loving heavenly Father, the Creator God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, my Saviour. My first waking thought in the morning is something like "Good morning, Lord. What do You have in mind for us to do today? I'm looking forward to working with You and accomplishing Your purpose." I enjoy a cup of coffee while scanning the local newspaper and make my way to my office where I spend about an hour or more reading my Bible, allowing God to communicate to me more of Himself and His will, and talking with Him in prayer. As I continue my day, my Lord is with me. He is my constant Companion and we talk about everything that happens. I look to Him to guide me, teach me and enable me. My last thought on going to bed at night is something like "Good night Lord. Thank You for another wonderful day in Your presence. See You in the morning."

I believe that your husband is right for that.I pray at night and whenever else i feel like it during the day and evening.God likes His children to talk to Him a lot day or not or anytime.

I pray whenever the mood strikes me. It does not need to be at a certain time of day. I can stop and say a prayer of thanks so many times a day. I thank the Lord for keeping me safe while driving in traffic or for a good hot meal or for my child not getting the flu when all her friends are getting sick. I thank God for a good day or for the simple existence of my friends and children.

Hi Neelima I do pray before getting down from my bed at the same time I also pray before I go to sleep. It gives me a sort of mental peace and gives the feeling that somebody is there to help me in my needs.

No,we all just wash and have a meal after get up.before breakfast,there will be a exercise,usually walk by my street.Yeah,It's good for us,thanks god for having,bless us to keep health,thanks god for give us a nice day.We have not a habit like this,we just work hard for a better life,and it's ourself who can lead us a better life.
