Fed up of same common discussions..lets discuss something new !!!
While i type in the early morning, my hubby is still sleeping and i can't see the letters on my keyboard properly...and those which are faded..oh my god...i have to rub my eyes..so many times to see them....
My 'A' and 'S' are almost diminishing...is it becoz these letters are most used in spellings...or is it becoz my email id has those letters...but then all other in the id 'H' 'I' should have been faded......what about your keyboard...which letters u see with too much efforts ???

Hi. Well, on my part, I have been using my laptop for 6yrs now and, all the letters on my keyboard look new.. Why? Hmmmm,, it's because i use a keyboard protector. It looks like a rubber plastic to put on the keyboard. You might wanna use it too...Good day.

ah.. a perfect questions for me, this is the reason I am forced to change the keyboard after every few months, even when the keyboard have no defects.
Just the fading becomes so light , so we put some white ink to understand the letters, still the problem is not solved.
I have changed 4-5 keyboards for the same reason.
The most faded letters on my keyboard are A,S,N,E,O,I and T.

None at the moment since my laptop is fairly new. I've only had it for a few months. But I'm starting to see that glossy shine on some of the keys that indicate that you use that key frequently. Most notably is my space-bar key. But on my older laptop, which I still use, a few of the letters on the keys are halfway faded or completely gone. They are the 'E', 'R', 'T', 'N', and 'S','M'. I'm surprised that the other keys where I place my fingers are intact. You would think that those would be the most faded since they are some of the most common letters used.

hmmm...enjoy using your new one....till they start fading...but dont u think that though new things look good...but as they grow older, u develop a kind of affection for your things and old becomes gold...it happens with me for some clothes also...as they grow old i like them more and more...

Yeah, you have a point there. I still love and prefer my old laptop over this newer one. The older one just feels right. I like the feel of the keyboard and everything. I'm just not using it as much because the ethernet port that connects to the internet is not working. I can only use it to go wireless.

The most faded letters on my keyboard are A,S,D and the arrow keys. I play loads of games and as a result I have to use these keys the most. That is one of the main reasons why these keys are fade. I do not have to see those letters though. I can type without looking at the keyboard. So it is not a big problem for me.

The letters which are most faded in my keyboard are A, E, R, H, S, I, O. The reason for this is quite simple because these are letters which appear very frequently in almost many words.

Ha, interesting question. We all look at the keyboard but none of us asked this question.
OK, let me look. My keyboard is pretty good considering its around 2 years old. The key which is slightly faded is the closing curly brackets key. I am not sure why that one is faded since I don't use it often.

This is something new, interesting and very common to all computer users. A,S and W were faded in my keyboard. I think should take more time to investigate because I don't use much on that alphabets, just unknown. Maybe you have the answer...Happy Mylotting.

Lets see looking at my keyboard right now the keys that are most faded are the i,a,d,k,l,c,n,m that is all of them. Four of these are in the home key row and are just about gone so it is good that I took typing and know where each letter is located from the home key row.

All the keys on my laptop are still pretty much the same and nothing has faded yet although the space bar is starting to look worn. On my desktop keyboard which is much older; the top, middle and bottom rows except the letters Q, {}, and Z are definitely faded. I have used the desktop a lot and no doubt my laptop keyboard will probably suffer the same fate; with a desktop you can change the keyboard, not much chance of that with a laptop!

Hi Eshaan, responding to discussions after long time, anyways good topic. The letters on my keyboard are not faded yet, as my laptop is hardly a year old now. But yes there are many keys missing because of my baby. He use to pull the keys and has almost broke 11 keys till date, now he knows how to use it so is not breaking keys anymore, but ofcourse I have to search the letters to type. Although I know where which letter should be there on keyboard as I am using keyboards and computers since more than 15 years now.

Hello eshaan this is checkmail and till now never faced such a problem of fading alphabets of keyboard.Even not when was doing DTP, just used to clean it atleast once a week and avoid eating near my PC.Yeah your problem is the extra liquid material that is on keyboard when you eat something or use oily hands.Hope you got your problem, stay clean and be hygenic and healthy.Even wash your hands before and after completing the pc work.Happy Happy..........Mylotting.

"Esc" and "Enter".As sign in any site and into any games,it's necessary to press the "enter".and the "Esc" is also another one easy faded,it's the last step, sometimes the only step,to end the executing games.
