Any new technology you want to happen badly?

Yesterday, I had forgotten my mobile phone at home. It was so peaceful! But my topic of discussion today is not that. I work in a hospital with almost every hour on call. I was expecting a very important call but was helpless. That made me wonder, what if we could divert the calls to a different number through internet or any other device! No one was at home, so I couldn't ask anyone about the divert.
Don't you think that would be a cool thing?
Any technological inventions that would make your life easier?
What if I could sleep yet do mechanical job?
Have a great weekend!

That is such a beautiful thought checkmail! Only the other day I was reading how e-waste harming our environment. Most people are unaware of this and they do not know where to dispose of the e-wastes. Thanks you for bringing up this issue and I do wish technological revolution would reach that level someday.

That would be cool, to have a remote access to every single device- the mobile, the gadgets at home, the car.
I've often wondered about a means of recording some of the thoughts of the things i want to get done or do. That way i could recollect them at my convenience and not be at the mercy of forgetting things.
Have a wonderful weekend too.

That would be great. A TO DO kind of device that would beep and remind us of things that we had thought.

Interesting discussion. I wonder if anyone else thinks of a snooze button for the kids so that a decent nights, no weeks sleep, is possible? LOL.
Our telecommunications provider has a free service where you are able to divert your calls, access voicemail, and change settings from a different phone line. We just have to register we want the remote accessing, and they will give it to us. I have to say though, I don't get many phone calls, so not really a service I have used recently, though I did a few years back so I didn't miss any work related calls - back in the days when I got sleep, it didn't matter if I slept all day and was up all night, and I only had electricity and phone bills to worry about, not internet and the dozen (it feels like it sometimes) I have now.

Hi Mim. Such technology as you've mentioned does exist in the way of "call forwarding."
I think I would like to see invented a computer that did not become so quickly dated! Or that had even more memory and speed, but did not cost a fortune.

I think that would be a day! No good thing comes cheap these days. I have used call divert and call forward options but then I had used my mobile to do that. From mobile to landline. I am sure there are ways we can do it without requiring our phones at hand.

I badly need an invention that can get the person's name into my lips who I am trying to introduce to another friend.
Imagine the situation saying meet 'Mr.er...' and praying for that particular person to come out with his name and heaving a big sigh of relief. It is torture Mimpi.

Ahhh, Mimpi, I already have that one, but I do need a better way of coordinating all of the little notes and reminders I make for myself...a way that is secure and portable. Currently I am using ToodleDo which is certainly better than nothing, but I'd like to be able to access OneNote through the web, as my whole life is in there, and then also to have a task calendar and alarms integrated into that. I have all those things but not centrally through my cellphone. There is always a gap somewhat in the information.
Yet, I live in a place and time which can only be described as technologically blessed. Although most of my friends and neighbors do not use technology to the extent that I do, almost everyone has some access to devices that make life in some ways more complicated, but at the same time richer, fuller, and more productive. I am right now munching on a sweet and delicious fresh pineapple flown in from thousands of miles away. I cut it with, if you will excuse the play on words "a cutting edge knife" manufactured with space-age materials. I am communicating with you half a world away while watching my freshly made bread dough rise through the clear plastic enclosure on my tabletop infrared convection cook top (which cost a hundred times less than my lower-tech neighbor's oven), my smart phone will play my favorite song to alert me when it is time to perform my next task, I have flowers that do not bloom here this time of year showing off under the light panel of my computerized plant holder (it will blink a light when it is time to give the flowers their nutrients). If I had bothered to tell the control box on my TV to record movies for me, it would be doing so, and then would play them back for me without the commercials, whenever...I can print postage out for the letters I mail from my doorstep right here on my computer, and the list goes on. Airplanes, jet skis, videophones, air quality control systems, we are simply blessed, and while we are blessed, we are also free to demand more and more of these things. Yet just one generation ago, my mum was milking goats and making butter in a hand-cranked wooden churn, washing clothes outdoors and drying them on a clothes line. She could not drive a car, her freezer did not defrost itself, the grocery store did not stock frozen entrees. Nobody she knew ever heard of pizza or tacos when she was raising her family.
And on top of that, here we are literally picking up pennies from the internet. How would you have even explained such a thing as that to someone who lived a little less than a hundred years ago? AWESOME!

Hmm, cant think of any as of the moment. That's because whatever it is that I could come up with, Im sure others have already thought of it as well and maybe even working things out in inventing them as I am only thinking about it. Billions of people are already thinking about more new technologies, and Id just let them think about that. Im just going to try and enjoy life, and enjoy those technologies that have been invented that I havent even tried yet. I dont mind if Im being left behind in this trend, as long as I get to experience it myself, in time, then Im good with that.

I’m sure there is something that you can do already to divert calls...I would love to see something really way out like a self cleaning house or something along those lines to rid our lives of housework because I often think how great my existence would be if I didn’t have cleaning jobs to do which never end day in and day out. If only somebody would invent something to solve that problem…A domestic robot maybe? Wait...I think somebody has already invented something along those lines...Or maybe not...

I really want a netbook. The new dell netbook looks awesome with the new Z530 chip. But I heard it isn't that great since the ram is very difficult to replace because of the single frame piece it has underneath. I am debating on the Atom 280 chip that the ASUS has that also runs on a GMA950 graphics card which is way better than the GMA500 the dell has that apparently doesn't support linux at all.
I would love to be able to purchase one of those limited edition triton dells they are selling. I only live it because it is light weight and has a heavy duty looking design. But overall I doubt it'll out perform the ASUS with the ATOM 280 chipset.

I hope someone would invent a suit that would enable us to defy gravity so we would float on air. Now , that would be cool!
Another great technological invention would be a time machine and a teleport machine, so i could get to any place in mere seconds. Hehe. Wishful thinking.

Hey mimpi1911, I really want to have a new laptop. It's not that I hate having a desktop computer, it's just that you can take a laptop anywhere with you, that's why it's called a laptop, because you can put it on top of your lap and take it anywhere. I also want to have a lot of CPU in that laptop so that the computer won't lag like it does frequently right now. The only bad thing about a laptop like that is the money. It is so expansive. And by expansive, I really mean expensive. Right now, I'm saving up money to do day to day stuff. Go to the movies, buy some pizza etc. In total, over the course of one whole year, I have earned over $1,500.00 online. Now, this wasn't easy, but I was able to pull it off with the help of my friends at school, who signed up under me and worked like crazy! I have joined mylot because although I earn that much money per year, I don't do anything. Since it all comes from referrals, so I frequently get bored at times. That's why I joined MyLot! To earn money and have fund doing it. Have a great day and happy mylotting!
