All the time NASA always answer the people indirectly or sometimes with a lie, how about now? Do you still believe in them? This is the latest discovery about the moon, NASA discovered that there is a water on the moon, there is also oxygen just like what we have here on earth, that is according to what i have read, i do not know if it is really true, but if it is true, what do you think NASA will do to it? Will people benefit from it? What can that water in the Moon can do if it is true?

Hi, if there is water, or oxygen on the moon, then it is inside the moon, because our dear Mr. Moon does not have any gravity, remember? :) So we need to set up a lot of mining operations to get that water out from there. Of course, if there is water, and oxygen, then possibly some carbon, and nitrogen inside may mean life forms as well. May be we can get moon flu with that water, even if it is possible to pack all that in drinking bottles and bring it down here. :)

correction there vandana7, there is a gravity on the moon, otherwise the astronauts on the apollo mission would have been floating and not at least walk jump on that moon and the rover and other Lunar modules out there. i am still not sure if there is water underground. i think they'd better watch out in doing the drillings on the moon or it might break off it's gravity and collide with our planet like the one that happened in the time machine movie

O i see, so we need a lot of work if ever there is really water.

My cousin is a top scientist with NASA, and he swears it's all true, but there are other things that he can't share because they're classified. He reminds me that these elements are not on the surface, as they are here on Earth...

I really like this story and I absolutely believe in NASA! I think those guys are miracle workers with their education and hard long life study! I have been watching some of these space documentaries on discovery science and they are talking about setting up a possible moon base and this may also be a launch pad for deep space missions in the future. I'm sure they also mentioned something about the moon being an invaluable resource in relation to rocket fuel. I'm really interested in space technology and I love reading about new discoveries at NASA. I think that we are living in very exciting times. Andrew

O yes you are right my friend, i think they are also looking for rocket fuels, i also love that space discovery that they are doing. If that happens in the future, in that case we can explore more and learn more about the outer space and maybe in the future we can prove that we are not the only living thing in the galaxy. I thought they already have a base in the moon and in the mars?

I do still believe in NASA. Their research has been instrumental in advancing our nation and in keeping it safe. I think that sometimes NASA is allowed to run unfettered and they need to realize that in times of economic difficulty they to have to cut back. But I believe in the benefits of the program and support it's funding. I'm not sure what ramifications water on the moon will have for us.

You are right they are really very instrumental in terms of development and education and research. Maybe sometimes they are not making things into public cause there are really some things that needed to be kept secret.

yes, there is a clear evidence of the satellite pictures showing water traces on tyhe moon. this was first discovered by an Indian satellite. i am not sure if it use to people but i heard in some news channel that from this water fuel can be generated for the rockets to move to other plantes from moon. this is great achievement indeed. may be they can move even to pluto just kidding.

I don't think that's possible rj. first, there's no atmosphere on the moon, second the core is not that active low geothermal activity that has zero possibility in creating or having water in the moon. there's one in mars because of the polar ice caps, and there's an atmosphere there as well. but on the moon, unless it's underground ice cap, there's no way there can be water there..only possible alien ruins

..Hi rjvb26, I don't usually pay attention to NASA until they send a satellite or something up into space with men on it, then I get very nervous that something may happen to the ship. I don't know if they lie or not, how do you prove it if they do? I do know that many things that help people have come out of their trips, such as the teflon cookware. They say the water they found up there could help them to travel to the moon, as they could use it for drinking purposes while there, if they are able to clean it. There are are lot of ifs. Take it easy.
