Well, I guess I wouldn't mind if I wasn't aware that I was actually eating meat of an animal that isn't really commonly consumed like snakes or frogs. If I was informed that it was those kinds of meat, I think I wouldn't really try. I would really just stay with the common ones.

that's pretty safe since most of the familiar meats may have toxins with them like frogs.

If given a choice, I wouldn't really try any unfamiliar meat. Even if its just for fun (-_-")

I don't really eat meat of the unusual kind like snake or even uncommon poultry. I mostly just eat either chicken, beef or pork. I'm not that much into seafood either, unless it's strictly shrimp dumplings or calamares. I do however like eating unfamiliar cuts of meat. Like with pork, we have a local delicacy called bopis that ulitizes pig's lungs. I love to eat it! I also love chicken gizzard and intestines (without the filling though). I also love eating barbecued beef liver. I guess it's in the way it's cooked. If these cuts were cooked some other way, I don't think I'd be inclined to eat it either. Same goes for unfamiliar meat I guess. My parents used to like eating snake meat though. My dad has this Cuban friend who owns vast tracks of land. He would catch a large snake from time to time and would send it to our store. My dad would them have his friend cook it and then my parents would eat it together with friends. It was really creepy seeing the bones afterwards LOL! I used to be also interested in trying ostrich meat, but my mom wouldn't allow us. She's against us eating all those unusual cuts!

wow all of those you mentioned are yummy and i would love to eat all those sorts. those are most Filipinos would love to try. they're also common in our place. i haven't tried ostrich meat. we have ostrich here but we can't afford even buying their eggs.they're way expensive than any other meats. i think it's because the meat is rare.

Hi, flagella08. Me and my in-laws was just talking about this in October. And we all agreed that we don't eat all kinds of meats. I only eat meats that I am very familiar with. I could never eat snakes and wild boar meats. I like the basic meats. Nothing that I can't identify.. My husband does not even eat all kinds of meat himself. He does not eat turkey necks and turkey wings. I love these, but he don't. He don't even eat meat that has bones in it. Even with fish too. I don't like bones in my fish either. I don't like picking bones out of my fish when I am hungry.

I have eaten some unfamiliar meats and liked some of them. I prefer chicken to frog legs but I don´t mind eating it. I prefer beef to ostrich any time. And I hated whale meat. But some wild birds are delicious. I have never eaten snake and I dout that I will do because it is not eaten in my country. But I wouldn´t mind trying it in a good restaurant if I was offered it. Happy posting!

i have eaten frog legs but i don't think i would t again. i don't really have that preference to unfamiliar meats. i just eat if i don't know what's the type of meat i am going to eat. some friends don't inform me and tell me after loading up.

I don't eat unfamiliar meats. I only eat fish, chicken, pork, beef and that's it. I'm half chinese and I always get scolded by not even tasting the weird stuffs they serve at parties and gatherings. I've been served frogs, turtles, snakes, goat and rabbit before never had the guts to taste em.

i don't eat unfamiliar meats because i would think about it as i took each bite. i don't know why we're able to eat one animal but turn our noses up to another. well the only wild meat I've eaten is deer meat and i didn't like it at all. i'm a traditional type of person. chicken, beef, turkey, and fish. no pork either cause the thought of it makes me sick.

i haven't eat deer and turkey meat. i just wish i can but they're very expensive here because of its rarity. some friends said that those meats are just as palatable as the regular meats of beef, carabao, chicken and pork.
