Hi friends,
This evening around 7 pm I was sitting lazily in my bed after a hectic day and suddenly the bed started quaking. For few mins i did not understand what it was and I asked my brother whether he felt it too. He also felt some thing tremble and we both concluded it must have been an Earthquake.
We tuned the news channel immediately and after few anxious moments it was on the news too. The earthquake was a mild one of around 4.75 Richter scale and it occurred almost at 4 places in India.
Well its some thing very exciting to experience to be honest. I just felt it could have been the last day of my life as India has witnessed some deadly tremors in the past.
Things like these do make us feel that life is too short and every second we live is so precious.
So friends have u experienced any such natural calamities like an Earthquake ? Did u get scared or what was your first reaction?
Cheers,
Tutul

Hi Tutul,
These type of incidence excite us when there is not harm to us of our family memebers. I also have enjoyed riots, quake, heavy rain. When those incidence turned to be in sad incidence, joy automatically evaporated.I don't have any sad incidence attached with it but yes this gives me experience that life is short and anytime it could be taken back by god.
I felt tremor when quake hit gujarat. My house is located near airport, so whenever aeroplane or fighter plane passes over it; glass started to make noise. On that quake day glass of furniture started to make noise ,i thought there is no plane passing then what is this. I ran to another room, observerd cup board is also moving. We immediately recongnize it and ran out of house immediately.
when we were out all light poles were also moving because that was not a mild quake but life taking quake.Impact of that quake was very bad when we turned on our television. In our city impact was less but for others it was more. Those incidence taught me things do good work always because life can be taken from us anything any way. have a nice time.

I live in California, so I have gone through about 10 earthquakes in my life. I was a Jersey girl and lived through a couple hurricaines.
The scarey thing about quakes is the aftershocks, and sometimes, its reciprocal tsunami. I never want to get stuck under an overpass in one of them, or on a bridge.
They are scary!
