I personally like President Obama.Yes, I voted for him. I don't think anyone can or should be calling him a liar at this point. When you are running for President you want to do right by the people and keep the promises that you spoke of. However, once you sit at the desk in the oval office you will find things that were either not told to you or deliberatety kept from you. President Obama has to deal with the garbage that was created by Bush for 8 years. He has two wars on his hands, One that should never have been. He has unemployment issues to deal with, the economy to deal with, health care reform to deal with, abortion issues, not to mention Korea, Israel, China and Japan and all their problems trying to keep peace among us. There is so much on his plate (really it "Plates") there is no way that anyone can call him a liar. He has not even completed a year of service to our country. Did you people think that once in office everything was going to be fixed in 6 months. If so, you were dreaming. The mess that Bush has put us into won't be fixed even in 4 years, remember it took 8 years to create it and its going to take I believe more then 8 years to fix. Lets give him a break. Do you really think you could be doing a better job?

I actually like Obama. Not for his promises or his capacity to deliver but the way he speaks. I think he is a top notch orator and a seller of dreams. And given the current recession surrounding the globe, I think that was very much required at that stage. Whether he goes on to deliver on all the promises and claims he has made is something different and only time will tell about it.
Cheers!

I was watching Countdown with Keith Olberman the other day, and they talked about Obama and pulling out of Afghanastan. They said that he has a handful of choices in pulling out of the war, and, unfortunately, they are not all good choices, as this was Bush's legacy to him. He has to choose which choice sucks the least, and factor in as much damage control as he can.
They likened it to him following an elephant parade with a shovel.
I really liked his speech to the Human Rights Campaign, but would love a timeline on his plans. I like that he is going to sign a bill against hate crime in honour of Matthew Shephard.
I like that he wants his citizens to have health care as a basic right.
I feel he has a hard position, cleaning up the mess his predecessor left him, and hopefully we will see some changes.
The only thing I dislike about him is that he is seventh cousins away from George Bush. I don't trust anything part-W. But, perhaps, he will show he dislikes that part of his family.

W is a proven liar. But, Obama? What makes you say that he is a liar? Only time will tell, really, he has not been in office for one year yet, and has to clean up the 8 years worth of dookie created for him by W.

That kind of dodged my question completely.
Yes, we all have opinions. I am asking what lead you to yours? What lies has he told?

100% agree with you, he is a liar and all is talk. He supports countries which are open killing innocent people. Obama also lacks experience and he is just huge liar. To all the people he is not gonna pull troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan due to oil and rich materials in those countries. So please dont put hopes on a liar and all talk obama he wont do a thing.

Them's fighting words. The reasoning is accurate, though. Protecting our stranglehold on the oil reserves and ensuring it is traded in US dollars was the reason Bush dragged us into the war.
It is possible that Obama wants to pull us out, and is gradually working on a time line to safely and sustainably leave two countries we just destroyed. Maybe he has to get approval from Congress, but, for some reason, his morality on the topic of pulling out of the war is somehow trumped by all the money the oil-related lobbyists are dishing out to whoever opposes leaving the wars.
I guess only time will tell, and perhaps he, like JFK, knows that peace can be as economical as war.

Can you elaborate on that deal that was made? And give supportive links?
