Hello Everyone,
I am noticing that everyone is talking about the arrival of Windows SEVEN and failure of Windows VISTA.
There are many people that are not willing to use VISTA over XP, and thinking about SEVEN is a way far. Almost 90 % of PCs in the world run Windows Operating System but now the scenario is changing. there are many users that are turning towards Linux due to Licensing limitations and price in countries like INDIA.
The other professional who wants performance in return of their price are going for mac.
Also Microsoft has been criticized for the lack of security and vulnerability towards viruses.
So what do you think about it?
Give your precious ideas about that.
Thanks in advance.

With rapidly emerging companies with other OS systems I do think that they are losing their edge. If they do not continue to innovate and take on strategic alliances they will find themselves in a difficult situation. As soon as another popular operating system comes through they should definately watch themselves.

There are commercials about Windows and Mac. The most recent I've seen is of a lady who has a box of her "personal files" and is between a man portrayed as a Windows and a man portrayed as Mac.
The lady eventually goes with the mac but not before saying the faults of windows vs the good things about the mac.
I think that Windows is good if you know how to use it, and I believe that Windows 7 is supposed to be better, I only saw a snid bit of a segemnt about it on a talk show though.

Yep. Microsoft isn't doing anything new to its system, unlike Apple with its revolutionary Mac OSX. On the other hand, Microsoft seems to be copying Apple in an effort to keep up the pace. So yeah, Microsoft has indeed lost its edge, while Apple has gain one!

Same here. I don't think that Microsoft is loosing its edge. Most of the people uses it up to now due to the attribute that MS is user friendly and besides that, gamers and business men uses MS due to the graphics and convenience that MS gives to its users.
Yes, I agree that MS is very vulnerable to viruses but I think there are a lot of neat free antivirus programs that would help you get away with viruses.
