Addiction towards cell phones..

I think because it is one step removed from reality and a lot of people like to hide behind the screen or speaker. I've seen people so glued to sending a text message that they'll step out into traffic! They wrap themselves up in a fake little world so they don't have to deal with the real one. At least you have noticed this and can now do something about it.

I know of some people who are really cellphone addicts. One, is our former child caregiver--she never stopped texting, she even hide herself inside the bathroom just to text and for us not to see her doing it but it's so obvious. She kept on asking for an advance because she needs to send money home for her kids but she'll just buy cellphone load. Even if she is doing the laundry, cooking and cleaning the house, her cellphone is in her neck none stop texting...grrrrrrr so irritating.
