What would you do in a situation wherein you get lost in place totally unfamiliar to you? WOuld you ask for directions or would you let your instincts tell you the right way through? :) or do you have other things that you would do? :)

I would not want to waste time going with my instincts because what if your instincts are completely wrong. I would have to stop someone and ask for directions. I know men get a bad rap for not asking directions and they just keep driving and getting more lost then they were if they had asked someone right away. My boyfriend thank goodness is not like that. He's lost he will stop someone to get directions. I think a great idea would be for every new car being built should automatically have a GPS unit to prevent people from getting lost. Wouldn't that be great? Plus it shouldn't be if you want it or not type deal, where they charge you extra, it should just come with the car like the steering wheel does.

I hope to find the same type of kind and helpful people as we are here in our place if I get lost in an unfamiliar place. Locally, if a tourist or someone who lose his way asks my help for directions, I am absolutely most willing to help him. It is not an uncommon thing that we do here... hospitality is one very popular and easily noticeable trait of the Filipinos and I am very proud of that! ... (but beware, there are always exceptions -- save some caution for criminality, though). If it happens to me, I would ask directions from people in an unfamiliar place. I may hope to see hospitable people there but should not expect too much though.

Well, the first thing I would do is not panic. If there were people around, I would ask them for directions to where I wanted to be. If there are no people around I would have to trust my intuition and trust that this is my karma and that I am not exposed to anything in life that I am not ready to handle. - Derek

My sense of direction is really bad, and I often get lost. I love travelling, but when I visit a new place I usually get lost at least once or twice. I always buy a map, but I tend to get lost anyway. I am very stubborn and I usually don't ask for directions, I simply keep on trying till I find the right street, and that might take a couple of hours! If I ask for directions I am very bad at remembering the things that people tell me, and I always forget the things they told me ("okay, I am supposed to turn right now, or did they say left? I am supposed to pick the the first street, or was it the second street?" ) I guess that my bad sense of direction and my bad memeory isn't the best combination
