If you go in to a visit to your friends, and they invite you to dinner with them, even you don t like the food, you will eat just because you want to be polite? Or you will say just that you are not hungry, or you keep a diet, to lose some weight? you will find an escuse, or just will eating, even you don t like food?

Well, I think I will try if I can find an excuse, perhaps I need to go off earlier, or I have dinner appointment with someone else, or if they are having spicy food, and I can't take spicy food, then I'll just let them know. If I really can't find an excuse, or they really insist me to have dinner with them, then for being polite, I think I'll just eat.

if i was at someone's house i woldnt be rude and say it out loud or anything, but i wouldnt eat it either.. i would eat what i did like and be done. Now if i cooked something new and decided i didnt like it, i would toss it and make something i do like.

If i was out at someones house i would eat it as i would not like to be rude and say i hated it as that is disrespectful.I would eat some of it and say i was full up as that way it do not sound bad.

I think I would definitely try to eat as much of the food as I could until I finish just to be polite, but if it really tastes nasty, then I'll still force myself to eat as much as I can and maybe excuse myself in the middle to go to the bathroom to try to get myself to like it for the next 10 minutes or so. If it takes any longer to finish, I'll just say that I'm full and that I ate something earlier so I can't eat anymore.

Hi, Ice! I think I'd probably have to fain illness. It's never happened, fortunately, but I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

hi icesmile as a diabetic I sort of have a built in excuse'when I am at someones home.I can say oh sorry my blood sugar is a little high tonight so I will just taste this, i am sure its really delicious but when I am high like this I just dont feel very good.most people will simply accept that and let it go at 'that. as I was not belittling their cooking just saying myblood sugar was much too high.

If I don't like the food I would make up an excuse, and I would say something like: "I have had a lot to eat today, so I am not that hungry" and I would eat some of the food, but not much. I am from a family where people tend to say their honest opinion about things, and in a situation like that my father would probably be honest and simply tell the friends that he didn't like the food and that he didn't want to eat it, but I don't think that I could do that. I don't like to be impolite or hurt people's feelings, I would rather make up an excuse.

For sure that i find something, an escuse, maybe that i can t eat just because i want lose weight and i want, if is possible just a salad, or something light. Is hard to be in this kind of situation, sometimes is hard to say no , when peoples work to cooking a dinner, even is not a tasting food.
