Outcome of the shooter at fort Hood in Texas

I think the alleged shooter will get life in prison as did the bomber who terrorized the USA with small bombs. This bomber was a PHD person who attempted to defend himself in federal court; it obvious he was crazy. He got life in prison with no parole and is the super max federal prison. I think the shooter at fort hood will end up there too. Some of his coworkers (MDs)thought he was possible psychotic when he was Walter Reed. The big question in my mind is why did they not blow the whistle
