There are some books I bought that I don't read except the title and the back of it. It's mostly because I don't really like the content and I bought it simply because I love the cover. Or those books that was given as a gift and unfortunately it doesn't caught my attention. How about you? Do you read all your books?

Yeah, I do. I always get through them right away too. Even if they aren't good books, I figure I paid money for them, so the least I can do is read them. If they are a gift, sometimes I will pass, if I don't like them.

I do try to but it is a big no no for me. Sometimes there just isn't enough time to read the book I bought so it really bugs me, especially when your in your mid twenties and your aim is to make 1,000 dollars a day so I can save up enough money to buy a Nissan fairlady.

Yeah, I agree with you. AS we get older we have higher goals and needs that we tend to put aside those habits that we used to and give much time to our priorities. Especially on earning thousand bucks.

I have read most of the books that I bought, but there are a few books that I didn't read yet. I borrow a lot of books at the library, and I usually try to read them at first, because I know that I will have to return them. My own books I can read whenever I choose so there is no rush. When I go on vacation I like to bring some of the books that I haven't read. If I have to spend lots of hours on the bus on something like that I always read a lot.
Some time I bought a psychology book that was written by one of my old teachers. I really liked him and the classes, so when I saw his name on the book I was excited, and I bought the book straight away. When I got back home I discovered that the book was very hard to read and hard to understand, so I just placed it on my bookshelf. I hope that I will manage to read it one day

Oh yeah, it helps a lot to bring a good book while you're having a vacation or at trip. Thus saves those boring moments while waiting on a long line for tickets, or riding a train, bus or waiting for flight. It's one of the best entertainment alternative.

I do read all of my books, but only once. I don't like to buy books for that reason, because I could've gotten it at the library for free! Also, if I would've gotten it at the library, then I would be able to smell the great smell of a well-loved book. I think that is one of the best scents to float this earth!

Oh, we're completely opposite because sometimes I read my books twice or thrice especially if it's really good, just like watching movie over and over again. And there are those books I bought that I don't read. Sometimes I gave some of my books as to give space of those ones that I love.

hi,caregarden!
most of the books I 've bought have been read by me.some of them are read carefully while some of them are just scanned in a hurry.and severals almost haven't been browsed.actually,I believe rare people can go though all books they bought.
in our country there is a old saying that"only books borrowed from others will be read carefully and urgently."interesting, isn't it?people tend to cherish things they cannot hold ,including knowledge.
I hope I can cherish my books and make a good use of them!
have a nice day!

Oh, yeah I believe on that saying and I like it! I think it's our human nature to always look and appreciate on the things that we don't have. So when you have your own book you tend to just ignore it, and read those books that you seen and borrowed from someone.

I make sure that I read every book I buy. However, there are instances when my unread books pile up because I normally prioritize reading those books given to me as gifts. To show respect and appreciation to the person who gave me the book/s, I make sure to give them feedback/opinion on the book contents within 1 month from the receipt of the gift/s.
Currently, there are more than 10 books on my shelf waiting to be read. These are mostly personally bought items.

why? of course, i do read them, as it was bought in the first place to be read, isn't it? there are some few exceptions, regarding books recieved as gifts, some of which i don't read, as i don't like the contents of the books. I usually don't buy books simply because the cover caught my fancy or for that matter it had a unique design or that sort of things. I simply buy what i want to read and i read what i had purchased. Thank you.

Yes, i read all the books that i purchase. In my house me and my wife both have a undeclared competition of reading books. Whoever reads first, he or she briefs that to another. So, always both of us want to take the lead. Thereby we read all books that we purchase.
Have a nice day.
