hi, i went out to have lunch with my husband today, cos he has to work ,got a hr break, we went to a chinese cafe for lunch.
is Sunday here, not easy to have a table, i was a bit lucky, got a table straight away, i ordered a hoi-man chicken rice, it is on special, only$5.90 AUD, my god, this is the cheapest chicken rice i had, and i ordered a combination fried noodles, and a wont ton noodle soup, why i ordered so many for two persons? cos my husband is a big eater, he can eat a lot.
the food was ok, cannot complain for that price.
will go again... and i ordered 2 chicken rice for my girls (takeaway).
well, i guess u like chicken rice too, right?

Yes i love chicken and i love rice. The combination of both of these are just heavenly good. Well today my dinner has this, spring onion and chicken fried rice
i am a big eater too, but now i am on diet so this was my last day for feasting on whatever i can eat.

Hello Debbie. Chicken rice is one of my favorites. Whenever I visit Singapore, I have chicken rice often. Some days for lunch and for dinner, I would have chicken rice. That is a very popular Chinese dish there in Singapore, and very tasty. I am not good in cooking myself, but I think the way it is done in Singapore is quite different from how it is in other countries. Do you think so too ?

debbie2009,
Like you, I am also a fan for Chicken Rice and where I am from we have 2 different types of Chicken Rice.
First we have the Hainanese Chicken Rice, which consist of boiled chicken and rice cooked with the chicken broth resulting in the rice having a shiny polished texture with the fragrance of chicken broth. It will be accompanied with blended ginger and garlic sauce, blended chilli sauce and the good oriental dark soy sauce.
The Hongkong Chicken Rice will be a little different where the chicken will be boiled in dark soy sauce and the rice will be plain fragrant white rice. It will be served with a special thick sauce from the chicken broth over the rice and accompanied with special blended chilli sauce for dipping.
Both are equally tasty except I am more favorable of the Hainanese one as I grew up with it.
