Pacquiao once again did not disapoint. Another boxing match and another win. Cotto began the match strong and had Pacquiao on his toes. Cotto was repeatedly jabbing in the first two rounds, but began running out of gas. Pacquiao's endurace was tested and ran through everything Cotto sent his way. Pacquiao knocked Cotto down numerous times and from the 8th Round on Cotto was on the defensive. It was very surprising the match was not called sooner than the 12th round. Cotto was busted open again and was bleeding heavily over his eyes. One analyst described Cotto's face as a man who shaved with an 8 year old razor blade. Pacquiao once again showed his dominance in the ring and has brought excitment back to boxing. The only question that remains is who is next to step up to the challenge. The fans at the MGM in Vegas has one name.....Mayweather. This potential fight could easily be one of the biggest and most hyped fights since Ali and Frazier. The question will be is if Mayweather will bite. Floyed Mayweather's nickname is Money and this fight will draw in a bunch. This fight would set each fighter up with enough money to live out the rest of their days well above the standard rich level. Last I had heard, Mayweather was not interested in a fight with Pacquiao, but it got me thinking.....who has the advantage in a fight. Pacquiao is at the top of his game no doubt. He can knock you out early and has shown (especially tonight) that he can go the distance and still bring the punching power he shows in the early rounds to the later rounds. Not only does he have his power going for him, but he is quick and can maintain that throughout the fight. Mayweather however appears to be quicker and has a snake like attack. He is great at defending and dodging while Pacquiao takes the punches straight on. This match would be interesting to see. Here is my breakdown of catagories for the two boxers: Pacquiao Mayweather Speed 8 9 Power 9.5 9 Defense 7 9 Toughness 9 8 Recovery 9 9 Record 50-3 40-0 Knockouts 38 25 Decisions 12 15 So who wins in a bought against the two? Floyd Mayweather by decision. While Pacquiao displays power his defense is still in question. Face a power puncher like Mayweather and being one step behind speed wise I see Pacquiao struggling. Plus with Mayweather's superior defensive skill set I see Pacquiao throwing more power punches than he can land tiring him out. Don't expect a knockout, but expect an amazing match that goes 12 rounds. Mayweather will win 3-4 rounds extra over Pacquiao to pick up the decision and remain undefeated. Unlike Pacquiao, Mayweather has never lost and has never tasted defeat. Don't think it will start now even with a great fighter like Pacquiao. Hopefully we will get a chance to see this match.

I think mayeather's camp will try to avoid Manny Pacquiao even though people of the world wants them to fight. They are busy trash talking on Paquiao and I'm afraid that when the fight push through they will do everything to cheat Pacquiao on boxing and on money! I want to see them fight, I want to see how Manny will adjust to mayweather's style of boxing. But Team Pacquiao should be very careful and specific when it comes to rules. We don't know how dirty mayweather's camp can be. Like what they did to Marquez, mayweather literally didn't lose weight. For me, mayweather's camp is a cheater. As of now Team Pacquiao is the one should wait, if mayweather's camp wants to fight Pacquiao they have to beg on their knees! Cause now Pacquiao is not just a Puond for Pound King...he is now a Hall of Famer! 7 chanpionship in 7 division no one has ever done that but a Filipino boxer named Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao! Congrats to all Filipino!

I think you have it backwards. Pacman will most likely try to avoid facing Mayweather because Mayweather is much stronger. Also, Mayweather loves talking trash and is undefeated, so it is Pacman that should be trying to get a fight with him. Mayweather has no reason to fight him. I don't usually watch that much boxing live, but I might even pay the PPV costs to watch a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight

So you're from USA mrniceguy... No I don't get it backwards! Right now Pacquiao is in a different level than mayweather. Pacquaio made a history that mayweather didn't try to do, instead he choose to retire because of no one wants to fight him. Why he didn't moved up to have a fight with bigger guys...have you ever think of that? Before he keeps saying Pacquiao is nothing compare to him he has no right to fight him. But now Pacquiao sets a record that no one has ever did including mayweather. If he didn't fight Pacquiao and prove what his big mouth father keep saying that his son is the best that would only mean that he is scared of Pacquiao. He is just a boxer for show and money not a true boxer! Pacquaio has nothing to lose now, he already put his name with the legend surpassing all records of the past including your mayweather. And Pacquiao brought back the glory of boxing world! Let's hope the fight between the two boxer push through but right now mayweather has no right to brag on big money on his pocket! And like what I said said Pacquaio has nothing to lose now.

While I agree with you that Pacquiao is probably one of the most adaptive fighters especially when it comes to weight class, but when drawing up a contract both fighters have a say. A contract goes both ways. While Mayweather doesn't switch weight classes like Pacquiao thats what makes the fight even more interesting to see if the adaptive Pacquiao can adjust to Floyd Mayweathers style as well as adjusting his weight for the fight. I wouldn't call Mayweather not wanting to change his weight as cheating, but more or less feeling comfortable where he already is weight wise. Pacquiao's flexability is key to make this match happen and it will come down to if Pacquiao really wants to step in the ring against a top fighter like Floyd Mayweather. Defensively wise I just don't think Pacquiao can keep up with the quickness of Mayweather. Pacquiao likes taking punches while Mayweather likes to dodge and throw a quick power shot or jab. Should be interesting to see if they can get this done.

If your prediction is to come true I think it's going to be a boring fight. I dont' think Mayweather will fight Pacquiao head on as I'm sure going he's going to go down like the rest of Pacquiao's opponents. Mayweather will just dance just his way around and throw a punch here and there to get points. It could be an expensive bout but i doubt about the excitement part. Cheers!

Well Mayweather isn't a brawling type of fighter. He isn't going to stand in the middle of the ring and exchange blows with Pacquiao because he would be stupid to do so. I think Pacquiao is tougher than Mayweather and can tolerate more punishment. Mayweather is defense driven which ya may seem boring to watch, but with a brawling style like Pacquiao it will be interesting to see if he can get Mayweather to commit to a brawl like style especially if Pacquiao can take the early rounds and Mayweather needs to catch up. Potentially could be a long drawn out fight, but im optomistic the fight will be exciting and well worth the hype.
