Is CoD MW2 REally that good?

I just bougth fifa 10 and i love fifa games. But i heard that cod mw2 is really good. My parents dont like me getting so many games at once. So i can beg them for mw2 but theyd get really pissed off and probably say no cause i just spend 70 on fifa 10. Is it really worth it, or should i wait a bit and get another good game. I also dont have xbox live gold. I tried CoD WaW and its pretty boring. What shud i do, i want it but i cant an probably wont get it!!

yes if you have the internet router hooked up to the play station 3. (or xbox live is hooked up.) if you have it hooked up you can challenge people online and test your skills against the world with all new weapons and perks. but if you just decide to play story mode of the game you will still get alot of suprises. (this is the most gruesome game ive ever played, well except for manhunt 2.)
