No Internet From my Service Provider Again!

I've had no internet (again) for over twenty-four hours. My initial reaction to this was to call the customer help desk to report the problem and wait for the service to get restored. But it has been more than a day and still no internet service. This has affected my online earnings because since the two big storms hit the Philippines, most of the time I have no phone or internet for days. And my lovely phone company billed me for a full month, with no rebates to the days that I was not able to use their service.

i use globe DSl, and we are given rebates for days since i called the costumer hotline, from 1000 we were give a 175 less cause our internet connection kept losing signals from time to time when it was new. I recorded my conversation with the costumer service, he did all the line checks, he could not understand what was going on with our line, I was able to get him the "service order number" which will prove that there is something with our connection, in 2 days the line men discovered that the crew forgot to tighten one screw in the line box. Whenever you complain ask for the name and the service order number, you can record the conversation by using speakers setting on your cellphone and another cellphone placed near the one you are using.

We use the same provider and I couldn't care less for their rebate. My lost income for the whole week without internet service is equivalent to two months' worth of phone subscription fees, so I am really disappointed with their service.

Well same in my case. I have been calling their call center for several days already actually it is for a month already and i already gave up on it. They restored the internet connection but about a couple of days ago it got lost again for another couple of days but then again last weekend they restored the internet connection. The phone is still unusable since Sept 26, well for me they did not bill me maybe because I call them almost every other day to remind them that I still have no telephone service. Hopefully they would restore the service although my net connection is running already I think I need also my telephone restored back to normal.

it's happened everywhere and been for about a month.i thought that the web was under attack because i was being dropped from my connection, connected very slowly and just plain slow as could be.well i called my provider and they checked and found a problem on their end.i had up graded my speed from 1mb to 3mb speed and it was slower than before.they were trying to get set up for the new phones and windows 7 but didn't do a good job with it.i expect they might have things fixed by the first of dec. but won't count on it.you should take your bill and divide it by the number of days in the month that this happened and call them and say you are only going to pay for the number of days that you had service or ask them to creidit you for the amount for the days missed.

ughhh that always happens to me, and I know how you feel, having to wait for so long and wondering when it will finally work. And, even worse, you lost earnings :( I hope you can get back up on your feet again. :)

That is really sad to note. I guess its really hard to get rebates from this big time companies. If ever you want some rebates, the whole process will really take a long time and so much burden on our part. At least you now have your connection restored.

When I'd travel to the Philippines for business, I'd normally stay in the family home. We have a bayantel connection there and every single time I'm home there is ALWAYS one day or two where the connection is awful or non existent. I have to call and argue with customer support to get the problem fixed or the DNS reset and they even have the nerve to say maybe the problem is in my home, when I am very familiar with connections and what not and they are perfectly fine on my end. And yes, there was one time where we had no internet for almost 1 week and we did not receive any rebates whatsoever. Then, the CSR said, if we want to cancel our contract, we have to pay the remaining months of it. Go figure.
