Are you God fearing? or Are God loving?

Many people worship God with fear. They think unless they worship Him, God will not give any good things to them. It is a kind of fear that makes them pray to God. On the other hand some people worship God out of love. They are God loving persons. They will be having complete faith in Him. They can lead a fearless and worry less life. How about you? Are you God fearing? or God loving?

I am god fighting. LOL. Yeah, I am always questioning couldnt you do just that much for me, or what have you really given me so that I can sing your praises, and so on. :) I think that is one way to relate to god. And I do question somethings in our religion, so I always use that as weapon - well you also did something wrong, so what if I did some kind of thing. :) I leave it to you to decide whether that is god fearing or god loving. :)

I am not God fearing, God is like a parent-no need to fear of. But I loved your attitude to fight with him, it shows you are closer to him than me. My problem is I can't put my 100% faith on him. I sometimes hate myself for my inability to believe him FULLY. I am God loving.

Hello dear brother, If you happen to see my profile it says "i fear no one but God alone" Well,it says all. I worship GOD becoz,it is my purpose in this life. The reason of my existence i believed is...to worship HIM/GOD who gave me my life which i owe from HIM. I fear GOD not becoz i fear that if i won't worship Him,He won't give me what i need in this life. I fear God becoz,i don't have anyone or anything to have fear with. I don't fear to lost my life, and everything that i have, becoz i believe that GOD can give me and provide me whatever i had and whatever i will be losing. But,i fear to lose my GOD becoz,money/wealth/family/kids or anything that i posses in this life can't give me my GOD. I would rather lose everything than to lose my GOD...that is why i fear no one but GOD alone.

I am both God loving and God fearing. God loving meaning I do pray to him to report to him what has happened in my life although I know he knows it already. I talk to him of what bothers me, I ask for guidance and help and ask forgiveness. God fearing on the thought that he can do the impossible. If he wants me to erase in this world he can do that, I am just his creature. I fear it because I am not ready to die. I am still asking for another chance. Even the whole earth will vanish if he wants, if he wants to do it now he can do it so I fear him. God is the master, he have the power and he is our creator.

I'm both. I believe in God. and I love God and fear God. There's no doubt in my mind about His existence. Yes, I love God but I don't pray or go to the religious places on routine. I hate pretension. I believe you don't have to go temple or church everyday to show your faith.

God is love, and therefore we should be loving God in return and this is shown by our obedience to His will, his commands. But we have to face the reality that even with our best intention to obey Him, we fail, we break his commands. So fear comes in, for we are afraid that by not doing His will, we may be cast out, we may not enter into His kingdom in Heaven.

of course God loving...why to fear when he is seeing all...and I believe that he is making me do, good or bad...whatever I am doing...so no fear..i feel Him around me and i know that He is with me in all my good and bad times.....if you love out of fear..then that love is selfish....and love is best when it is selfless...may it be with man or God...

i think the word god fearing is the most useless word i have ever heard. how can you love some one whom you fear. every religion whether it be hinduism or islam or any other tells uss two things one we must love god. and if we love him then there is nothing to fear. so i am god loving and not fearing. i love him as a friend so. so i can ask from him and also shout on him ofcourse with love.

I am in the middle of the two as i believe as a creation of God, each of us should know to recognize him as God-being the Alpha and Omega. Thus, their is a need to love God and follow his commandments and teachings. While the fear of God, is the start of of knowledge as being able to recognize the wrong and right.

Thats an excellent question, infact the majority of poeple worship God with fear, but some poeple are really lovers of the Lord that they devot specially all their life to Him and this is good, But I also think those that fear him can also try and increase that fear and transform into love because our loving God blesses you by grace, not by fear there are some poeple out there who are not serving but are blessed because they understadn the principles of living, this fear most times happens amongst christians but I know that if you choose to be who you are be open let God know you are not perfect but you love Him and be as simple as you want to be before him like a father that love His children and the children love thier father, definately you will understand that God is a loving father that workd with inperfect poeple but not perfect. As for me I love and fear God because the bible also says the fear of God is the begining of wisdom, this bases on knowing what is right from wrong...

I'am both.... I worship God because I have fear for Him and i love Him so.... though as a human it's hard to prove my love for Him. I cannot give back the love that God gave to me, to worship him is all I can do.

Fearing or loving something abstract does not make any sense, well, loving is acceptable because it makes you evolve. :) I just ignore it, ignore people abstract inventions, ignore what people made up, what they call god, they suffer for it, they kill people of distinct religions, they kill themselves, they avoid being happy and living with pleasures, they blame things on it. Not fair, live your life, do what you want to do, be who you are capable to be, do not make up a THING, and put your whole life and trust in something that is not logical, not concract .

Hi Vijay, I feel that you should respect God like a child respects their parents. You should also love God with all your heart. I know that God is the only one who truly knows everything that's going on with me and he still loves me no matter what. I have complete faith that God will give me what is best for me.

I am neither God fearing not loving. I am Buddhist, so my mind set is this: If i act and behave in a non-violent, human, loving manner, then i will attain positive Karma which can benefit me in this life or in a future life. So I am fearful of what my actions will cause me in the future. I am however, also fearful of the God's I believe in and what my actions will result into the future with respect to what they will/won't grant me. However, I do not worship Gods I don't think. Buddhism, is not a worshiping type religion, its more about being a 'good' person.

I don’t exactly do all things in life keeping God in mind coz I don’t think God is capable of either loving or punishing us in any way… However, there are a few guidelines which I follow as much as possible…one of them is ‘old sins have long shadows’…meaning that if we sin today and get away with it, our children and grandchildren will have to pay the price of it. My second guideline is ‘take what you want but pay for it’…meaning that you can get whatever you wish for in life, but you will have to pay a price for it. These two sayings help me keep my feet firmly on the ground and avoid making many mistakes which I would definitely regret later.

Hi vijayanths, You are right about many people worshipping God out of fear and that's the way many religious leaders want it. I was raised a Christian but the denomination that I was raised in, did not teach as much fear as some others did, nevertheless, it was there. I am definitely a God loving person and think that the idea of being afraid of God is ridiculous. I know that not everyone think of God as I do, but if they think of God as a father figure, why would they fear him. Is he a loving father or he a father that his children must be afraid of? Good fathers do not have to be feared, think about it. Blessings.

Hi Vijay...I fear God in that I hold his power in great awe, and for sure, I love him above all others, for without God no thing and no one would even exist. He is my mainstay. Karen

Well...I'm a God loving and God hating. If things goes well, I love God. But when things turn bad , I hate god. And I don't belive God can Angry and punish us, for me...God is neutral. God created this world along with it's law called karma, so everythings work automatically. God won't dirty His hand by punishing imbicle like us.
