So well we all know that there is always rumours and gossip about celebrities and real life news, but then we always ask outselves - how much of that is actually true? So how much do you believe magazines? As I buy them regulary - I can tell when it's real or if they are just making it up but this is for celebrities that I know well, with the others, I never know! Do you believe what you read in the papers?

No would be the simple answer. Take for example you see something on the news that even shows pictures of a catastrophe. I call someone I know in the area and find out what they see. 9 times out of 10 the reported news is much worse than the actual. As long as people have bias and their own opinions there will never be exact fact, besides who wants to read nothing but time, place, and event without the drama added to it. Drama includes opinion, bias, lies, and added fiction. That is one of the reasons the Internet has grown in popularity. We can talk to one another without going through the "media"

I don't believe everything I read on a magazine. For the past few years, I've only read 2 magazines from cover to cover - the Readers' Digest and the Entrepreneur Philippines. I don't normally read celebrity magazines, unless I'm already bored waiting to be served in a restaurant or salon. But these instances seldom happen as I usually bring a magazine or book wherever I go.

I don't usually believe what they say in magazines. It doesn't mean that what is written in magazines are always true or even right. Some of it might be true, but it's not the case for everything. Besides I believe that everyone is entitled to their privacy and that the paparazzi and everyone should leave them alone, give their space to be human beings and have their privacy.

I really only believe about a third of what I read. As things aren't not always what they seem, its hard to know the full truth. Really though do we really need the whole truth ?

I actually believe some of it like the time Jennifer Lopez was married to Chris Judd and Jennifer was having an affair with Ben Affleck. The stories were all hear say at the time but in the end, the stories were all proven to be true. However, most stories are all a bunch of crap. They are mostly made-up. I think it is best that if you do read those types of magazines, just read it as it is but one should not jump to conclusions.

Well, I'd trust researching magazines but I dont' really go for the celebrity gossip as I think it is a waste of time. Celebrities are people just like us so I tend to give my time in following something else. Sometimes I really hate when my GF follows them as she used to be a Thai celeb but didn't continue on.

I have never been much interest in celebrities and their lives. I on't buy those kinds of magazines because they are too full of drama. I do feel sorry for them always being in the public eye with every thing that they do. I have read the Inquirer on a few occasions and find the stories unbelievable most of the time.

Well it happens that people take pictures (papparazzi) and then assume on something and then they go writing something that isn't true and then sometimes the person in the picture has to comeout and tell the world the truth about what happened in the picture. I guess if your famous you have to live your life like this and always know that lies are going to be written in those magazines. They say they want to live the dream, but then when they experience it they don't want to live the dream of a star anymore.

I don't believe a word that I read in magazines; I think it's all a load of nonsense designed only to boost the fragile egos of celebrities and... sell more magazines! Some of my work colleagues bring in magazines, so we've a huge stack of them in the kitchen. It's interesting to look back at all the headlines and articles - so many of them contradict one another!
