So how was your football Sunday?

We were honestly getting ready to change the channel and go back to the NASCAR race after the Miami Dolphins screwed up in the 4th. quarter and Tampa Bay took the lead away from them. But....with SECONDS to go, and a great run by Ricky Williams, they were able to kick a field goal that put them ahead. My other home team, the Washington Redskins, beat Denver so it was a good football Sunday for me...even if I didn't get to see that game.

My football Sunday is... ongoing! I'm watching the Cowboys @ Green Bay, though it's not been the best game so far. 0-0 with four minutes to play in the second... More to do with passing errors and lacklustre running than good defence! I'm backing the Packers.

I'm a HUGE packer fan. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and will always be a packer fan....My problem is that last week they lose to TAMPA BAY!!!! We lose to Tampa, but we win against the Cowboys?!?! Is anyone else completely confused by this? I love my Pack and would never turn my back on them, but come on!

I'm not a sports person at all. The weekends are pretty dull for me since sports takes over all the radio shows--yesterday even my rock station broadcast the game!!! This is the most sports-obsessed state I've ever seen. They will even cancel the evening news to cover the games! But for sports fans, I know this time of year is a real treat for them. I hope your Dolphins have a good season!

Thanks Dragon! Florida isn't quite as bad as your state when it comes to the NFL but they do seem to go nuts over college football, which I don't follow. I think we have some pretty good teams...at least according to the nephews we do. I do know that I can't get my usual AM talk radio fix on Saturdays because of the games.

This Football Sunday sucked for the Steelers. Got beat by the Bungles again!!! Our offense just didn't show up yesterday. I fell asleep during the game and didn't find out that we lost until after the game was over. Ben threw a couple picks, Jeff Reed let a guy run a kick back on us and didnt try to stop him.

Not much football to follow around here. The league stage took a short break because the national team had to play a friendly game in Poland, which we (Romania) won 1-0 on Saturday. The other European leagues were also on hold because of the international games. The next week-end will schedule more football matches...

I don't like off weeks either. It changes the rhythm of the entire day unless we go somewhere.

Who would have thought that when Ricky Williams retired from getting stoned and came back to football because he owed the Dolphins money, he would actually be good again? The first year he came back I wondered if he would regain his old magic. But I really like the team the Dolphins have. They seem to be scrappy. The Colts play tonight, so I'll have to see how that goes before I decide how my football day went. : )

I wondered the same thing about Ricky when he returned. The speed and talent seemed to be gone but it's back this year. We actually didn't expect anything from the Dolphins last year because the team is in the process of rebuilding but they've got some very talented players in key positions and, I agree, they're scrappy! I hope your Colts did well. :)

I hope your cardinals prevailed. The Dolphins have been known to fall apart in the second half which is why we thought the game was a lost cause but they managed to pull off the win.
