Frankly, I haven't been to many airports. I hope to do so after college. I live in Sydney, and although I am slightly biased in my view, Sydney International Airport is pretty decent. There isn't too much foot traffic, now that is probably because its fairly efficient, there aren't many delays and the airport isn't too busy. Architecturally, I doubt it is anywhere near as great or beutiful as Dubai's airport, but nonetheless it is pleasing to the eye.
I have also been to Singapore International Airport, and I have found that it is far bigger in terms of its Terminal space, but personally I find the Sydney airport is far cleaner and the food is far more appealing.
The only other airport I have stepped foot on is Colombo International Airport, in Sri Lanka's capital. Now, last time I went there, it was undergoing a refurbishment, and it was quite dilapidated. I have been told now that the terminals look quite nice now, but I imagine it won't be as nice as Sydney's terminals and facilities.

I have not been to the Dubai airport, but to me the best airport I have seen is the Singapore Changi airport. They have a movie theater inside for the travelers to watch movies, they have games section where travelers can play games. They also take you for tours to Singapore city.
The airport itself is huge and is more a huge mall than anything else. I simply loved it.
Cheers!

My favorite has been the Newark airport. I was travelling with my class to go to Italy and we were going to have a layover there for four hours. We all thought we would be so bored but the place had a huge selection of stores...It felt like there was two malls in this place and we had a great time shopping around while we waited for our next flight...plus it gave us a chance to find books for our really long upcoming flight!

I passed through Newark about a Year ago,and remember liking the layout, the range of shops, bars, and restaurants and the inter terminal train system.. I got quite familiar with it during several hours of exploration on a layover that resulted in me eventually spending the Night in the area due to weather causing the cancellation of my onward connection to DC! And then on the way back, the Aircraft developed a fault before leaving the gate, and we had to deplane and wait several more hours while a backup was made ready..Unfortunately as it was a late flight to start with, nearly all premises were closed by that time..

I am from Hong Kong and I like the airport here because even though it's big, it's easy and convenient to get around. Apart from that, there's a lot to do inside, so you won't get bored. There's even a VIP lounge where you can sit, have spa treatment and just relax while you're waiting for your flight.

I've been only to a few international airports but to this writing, I think Hongkong airport is still the best I've been too. It really has everything you need. I don't mind getting delayed (unless I have an appointment) when I'm in hongkong.

Hello. I have travelled a lot too to many parts of the world. But, I have not been to Dubai airport. I am very impressed with what you said. From among the international airports I have been to, Narita airport in Japan is a very impressive airport too. The layout is very good and the facilitations are excellent for travellers.

I haven't been to a whole lot of airports in my lifetime, but my two favorites are Pittsburgh airport, in Pennsylvania, and the Myrtle Beach airport in South Carolina. Neither of these airports are too big yet they're functional. Pittsburgh is a lot bigger than the Myrlte Beach airport - but they're both still great.
