This is an awesome photo I think. More about at the end of this discussion though. Have you ever built any type of major item, taking the wrong measurements, coming up short in length, height, or any other capacity? I had done this myself in a shelf building project many years ago. The friend that built my deck out front was a few boards short in his measurements as well. How about this photo now..... This is what I'd call a severe mismeasuremnt to say the least. This photo is actuyally taken at the Minjnesota Rennasiance Festival this year in an area called Enchanted Forest.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I am looking forward to seeing your picture once I post here. Yes, I have come up short, but even worse, my mom once cut a dress wrong and ended up short of fabric for it. In my mind it ruined the dress forever, but that is another story. I am sure I will enjoy the picture you have shared.

Nice!
(Too early in the morning for me to think of something clever to say.)

That's one of the reasons I don't sew much of anything beyond an occasional blanket. My measurements aren't always the greatest. Nonetheless having straight edges may make the dfferance as well *LOL* I tried to make a stuffed animal for my SIL out of scraps and an old pattern book my Aunt had given me. Yeah talk about lopsided! I never finished it ether...

Great photo but I think they built it a little too short for you! :-)
You see some of us women are not dumb. We don't mess with this stuff. We just send the other half off with vague instructions, money and measuring tools and then when they mess it up, we get to give them a hard time.
Actually, I don't think he messes up that often! :-)

Hi Bob, Im' back.
My daughter sure would have liked a cubby house like that when she was very young.

I've done this lots of times, Grandpa Bob. I can measure and remeasure and still come out even a hair short or too long.

hi Grandpa Bob this reminds me of a low wall a couple wanted my huband who was a landscape gardener to build. It was supposed to curve to a certain degree so the couple could use the area as a place to sit outside and have a lunch in the shade of some trees. He goofed a bit in the curving of the wall but presented them with the idea that he had changed the plan a bit to allow them room for their feet as they sat there. the funny thing was the couple bought the idea and praised him for being so thoughtful they even tacked on another two hundred dollars to his bill just in appreciation of the thoughtful wall. We laughed about that several times. the young couple were some of the richest people in our area at the time. that little house might just be the thing for dwarfs or little gremlins in an enchanted forest.
