The story is about a lawyer named Michael Brock who gave up a very promising career at a big law firm after experiencing a tragic hostage-taking incident at their office. He willingly defended and advocated justice for the powerless people on the streets. Mordecai Green was the character that I admired the most from this book. He was a positive influence to Brock in rediscovering the latter's conscience. This is the first Grisham books I've read. I've read better Grisham books like The Firm, The Chamber, etc. but this book presented a lot of moral lessons to learn from. I am now collecting Grisham books. How about you, what can you say about this book?
