Question: Is there any software available today that can protect our flash drives? Like it requires password when you try to copy files to your flash drives, so that we can avoid viruses that are copied to our flash drives...

The one to protect is not your flash drive, but Your main computer hard drive. If you install latest antivirus and firewall in your computer, at least you're safe from virus. virus are active when it run from your computer. The latest antivirus will notice the file you're play are virus, then block it, ask you whether to repair, delete, or so on. If you want to safely using flash drive, avoid to connect it to unidentified computer, and always scan it after you connect it to another computer via your own computer

hi angelroseanne If you buy a new flash/thumb/pen drive usually there is no such program like that but, there is one I know which is included already in the USB flash/thumb/pen drive its called 'cruizer'. This is anti-virus and password protected but only enable or activated if you are using M$ Windows platform(operating system) not in Linux or Unix platform.
