Pre-Fight Question, Possibility of Pacquiao to win against Mayweather

Philippines

I am trying to analyze on what would be the chances of Pacquaio beating Mayweather. Speed and ring movement of Pacman will definitely match that of Mayweather. Manny hits a helluva lot harder than Mayweather. Defence wise for Mayweather thru running (hehe) because Manny will follow him on a non stop action until he gets tired..Mayweather's patented shoulder rolls won't stop the furious fists of Pacman. Mayweather is the more inactive fighter and it will hurt him in the fight. Sparring partners, you can find Mayweather's clones or at least a guy who copy his style. Where in hell can the Mayweather camp find a Pacman style sparmate? Such a person does not exist yet. Just my thought.

As a Filipino I want him to win but what I want to see is how Pcquiao will perform against mayweather. What I really like about Pacquiao is the way he respect his opponent he lets his coach do the trash talking. Then he puts himself into the hardest training he can do. Most of the boxer who wants to trained with him surrenders with the way he push himself to the limit. Even the cadet and military officers in baguio had the hardest time of their lives just to keep up on Manny in his jogging routine. I want see how he will break the defense of mayweather and use his unpredictable style of boxing against him. Unlike mayweather...he choose to retire just because noone wants to fight him instead of moving up to fight the bigger guys and make history.

You are right monfranco Pacquiao hits harder than may weather. I based it record, even with the draw and lose the percentage of Pacquiao knockout power is higher than "big mouth dudu" floyd!:))

We have a nice thread in here and i do enjoyed reading all your thoughts about this topic. All we have to do is to wait and see on what would be the outcome of this super fight if this is going to happen. And as i've said in my column " just my thought, Manny hits a lot harder than the Big mouth Floyd"...cheers!

Mayweather hits a lot harder than Pacman, he also has better defense. And I think its an argument over which one is faster... I don't know what you are talking about. Let me guess, is he your hometown hero?

Well, I may agree with you. Mayweather may punch harder than Pacquiao in a sense. But Floyd hitting Manny is the catch here. Many boxing analysts say that Cotto punches harder than Manny. But the Sunday fight showed Manny just absorbing Cotto's punches without even flinching. Manny standing there guarding against the ropes and letting Cotto punch him isn't really his style, but I think he wanted to measure how hard Cotto's punches are. And by the looks of it, Manny can get punched by Cotto all over and still do eight songs in a concert after the fight. Maybe the thing that made many people favor Manny over Floyd was the fact that Floyd talks too much trash about other people. Unlike Manny, who is always humble and never bragged about himself, Floyd just keeps on talking and talking about people. And he doesn't talk anywhere positive about them. Attitude. =) And yes, we love Manny here in the Philippines, sorry for being biased. can't help it. =)

I don't think mayweather hits harder than Pacquiao. Pacquiao has a high percentage of knocking his opponents (record), but mayweather has a good defense than Pacquiao...speed? That's a big question!

One of the reasons why Marquez was beaten by Mayweather was weight, Marquez claimed that it was not an excuse but a couple of means a lot of difference. If weight is even, I think Mayweather will get beaten for the first time in his career. Trash talk is also one of their weapons, that is to get into the head of the fighter or trainer, but Manny has not fallen into that trap as what we've seen in his fight against Hatton. Mayweather will also try dancing around pacquiao which is more likely to be running away from Pacquiao LOL. Cheers!

He would be running away from Manny all night long. I wish he saw how Cotto tried to run away from Manny last Sunday and have learned thru that fight. Running is no option when fighting against Manny. He can run all night long, but Manny will be chasing him, destroying Mayweather's face with the process. And I hope his mouth gets damaged so much he can trashtalk anymore. Hehe Oh and by the way, trashtalk against Manny won't work, Unless Mayweather trashtalks in Tagalog. Hehe.

Floyd only takes fight he is confident on winning. He has relentlessly ducked Cotto, Mosley and Margarito. If you ask me if Manny has a chance, I say Yes. Manny has a puncher's chance in taking down Floyd and that's why he's playing hard-to-get. However, the defining factor would be the weight. Manny has been phenomenal against fighters who press forward, but has been pushed pretty hard by defensive styles (see Morales in the 1st fight, Marquez in both fights) and Mayweather is a better counter puncher than both Morales and/or Marquez. Plus he has longer reach and he can take punches from heavy punchers. He definitely proves to be the toughest fight ever for Manny on paper. The only question would be, what weight will the fight be on? The heavier the better for Floyd, the opposite goes for Pacman.

If this fight really happens, this would be a great test for manny. As we all know floyd jr. is a defensive boxer. He knows how to avoid punches. And another thing is he has speed (a speedy mouth to be exact) thats the only advantage that he has against Manny. Hehe Has anyone of you seen the interview of floyd jr ? He wants manny to call him out, i think floyd jr is just scared of manny he was too defensive during the interview. He needs to be taught a lesson by manny so that this loud mouth boxer will shut up.
