I love waterfalls. I love to hear them and get my feet wet in them. Waterfalls just sound so relaxing. I am afraid of water and can not swim but still enjoy the sound. I see alot of them here where I live. I live right beside a large river. There are lots of rivers and water falls here.

It is a long time since I have seen one of any decent size, but hope to see a couple when we go on holidays to Queensland later this year pinklilly. They are truly spectacular and some of them are actually inspiring just to watch them. In fact although they are not waterfalls, in the days when our rivers actually had water in them, we used to see the water flowing over the weirs. It is similar, although of course not free flowing as a waterfall is, but the sound is very similar.
Then of course there is the Snowy River Hydro Electric Scheme and the flow of water there is really spectacular as well. Again, when there was lots of water in the rivers, which isn't right now.
Finally, I will make sure that I take a photo of the Niagara Falls when we get there next year, and send it to you. Not quite what you have in mind I do realise pinklilly, but it might be an incentive for you to save madly so you can go over there too. :)

Not only are they attractive sites for tourists. At times, they can be used for generating electricity using nature. I think the term for this is hydro-electric power.

Nice fact. I have heard of it before but it's a pity it's not very common ..

We have been to Niagara Falls twice. The views are gorgeous. I love the Maid of the Mist! If you have never been to Niagara Falls, you need to plan one in the future. It is truly a wonderful place.

I love waterfalls too. They are beautiful! I havent seen too many unfortunately. I seen some when I was visiting Hawaii. I would love to go to Hawaii and drive the Hana Highway. I think thats the name of the highway. Its suppose to be a beautiful drive with alot of different waterfalls to stop and see.

I also love waterfalls. My husband and I now live in Arizona and we don't see them as often, but we lived in the Northwest for 6 years and it was soo beautiful! I loved to see the crisp clean waterfalls all over the place. I miss them and I miss the green. Now I want to go back and visit. :)
