I'm definitely a Night Owl. I'm down during the day and at night I just start to light up and things start to pick up for me. I was watching a study on Night Owls and Early Birds on CNN by medical correspondent Dr.Sanjay Gupta who talked about healthy things for Night Owls to do which was to get some sunlight daily. Studies say that is suppose to help night owls. Of course I'm up during the day somewhat and getting sunlight and I can really feel the difference. He said Early Birds have an advantage which is easily understandable because more things go on during the day. He goes on to say people are just naturally inclined to this way whether your one or the other.

I am an early bird and so it my baby daughter. She woke me up at four this morning. I prefer it when she wakes at six in the morning. I can easily get up at five in the morning to go to work when necessary. I feel happy and bright in the early to mid morning. I have a bounce in my step. I feel tired by the evening and go to bed at nine in the evening when I feel like that. I enjoy getting sunlight. I feel happiest when it is warm and sunny. I am not so happy when it is rainy and cold.

i like getting sunlight as well even though I condsider my self a nightowl. i would say more than anything the afternooon hours are my least favoriter as those are my least energetic hours.

Hi Elmiko, I am actually a little bit of both. I work 2nd shift and get home around 11:30 pm and stay up until like 2am. I pretty much always get up at 7Am no matter what and I stay up. Sometimes I oversleep until 8 or 8:30 am but when that happens I feel as if my whole day is shot....hate it.

I am a night owl and at the same time an early bird. Because i sleep for average 4 hours. So this time tenure makes you both. This is my habit for last 11 years. Have a great day.

i used to get up early in the morbing because people who wake up late miss one of the greatest feat of nature, repeated in full steriovision each and every day-rise of the sun.i love how the slowly gets brighter ,when the midnight blue tuns to lighter blue, when the brilliant colors starts to ssp in the sky, when nature is painted in incredible colors.i like doing my early morning runs during this time and look up at the sky as i run and say to the world ,"what a glory day"....

I tend to stay up most of the night working, and sleep in during the day. LOL I guess it's because it's so peaceful to work at night, because there is no one around to interrupt, and no outside noises to distract me.

I am def a night owl! I've had jobs where I worked days but I would miss more days since my health for some reason does worse if I force myself to get up in the morning. I get sicker quicker etc. I get bad insomnia anyways which doesn't help. But for some reason I come to life when its late afternoon or getting dark then am ready to sleep as soon as the sun comes up or late mornings. Since I don't work now I just try to do what my body wants to naturally in hopes of lessening sick time

I am an early bird. This is not actually what I want. My son needs to sleep early around 9:30pm and wakes up 6:30am in early morning. Therefore I have to follow his pratice everyday and I can't sleep late at night.

hi, when I was in school, I was night owl as well... stayed up all night and spent time to sleep during the day but not now. I am now different, get up early and get everything done during the day and spend the night to sleep. I feel different and easy to start my day

I don't know what I am, I'm neither one, I'm not a early bird because I'm not a morning person, I hate it if I have to get up before 8:00a.m..lol. I'm not really a night owl because I'm in bed by 11:00 at night, I'm usually at my best during the afternoon. So what would you say that I am?

if you were compared to my hours you would be an early bird as i stay up all night much of the time to get a lot done without distractions.

I am a very early bird. 3:30AM is my usual time, it's very quite then no phones, no kids, no Hubby, just the pets who are use to my timing. I do a lot of computer work at that time and I watch early morning cooking and art shows on TV

definitely a night owl if someone makes me get up before 9 in the morning i am grumpy for the rest of the day and i usually don't get to sleep before 1am. id stay up later and wake up later but my 6 month old wont sleep longer than that so i have to adjust to his schedule. i suppose more things do go on during the day and i guess i'm up most of the day and get some sun now but i used to get so much more when i was little.

I love the fact that I am both a night owl and a morning bird! I'm more of a morning bird, but I usually don't go to sleep until around 1:30 or 2 in the morning! Then I typically get up at around 5:30, with or without an alarm clock. I hope this will last when I get older! My mom says it most likely will not, though.... too bad. I can enjoy it while I have it, at least!

Well now after looking at some of the others responses my question would be did Dr Gupta say that males where more likely to be night owls? I myself am an early bird always have been. I can stay up late if needed even days but I do and feel my best in the early morning. I have to have my chores done by noon or I feel the day has been wasted. Now my boys on the other hand, Lord I'm lucky if I can get them moving by 3pm.
