Well now that the position is better I think now you can relax. Thanks to Dravid, now we are in a good position. If we would have failed on the first day, then it gets very difficult to get back in to the match when the Srilankan team also have a good batting line up. I think Dravid played a gem of an inns and saved India from a potential loss. And his presence helped other batsman like Yuvraj and Dhoni to play freely. All in all a good performance.

The pitch is not bad and it was unfortunate that the top 3 got out quickly but Dravid and Yuvaraj steadied the innings after that intial hiccups. Now India is in good position and are in process of posting a big score...

What do you mean by leading batsman not performing well? Dravid scored 177 not out, Dhoni scored a century and Yuvraj scored 60 odd runs. So they are three of you leading batsmen scoring runs. 385/6 is the highest score by India on the opening day. Of course, 4 batsmen failed, but in every test inning 3-4 batsmen score less, so nothing new in that. Cheers! Ram
