How do I copy family movies I put on PC from camcorder to a regular DVD disk?

I have NEro. I have the Motion PIcture program it cam ewith. I have WIndows XP. I FINALLY got my pictures off my mini disk cam corder and onto my PC. Now... how do I get them to burn to a regular size disk? I have searched these two programs and can't find a thing about how to do that! I know it can be done. I know it can be done without these two programs as I also have WIndows movie maker and WIndows Media Player. I have copied pictures before so I know it can be done, but just doing a copy/paste from C: to D:(disk drive) doesn't work on at least movie clips.
Anyone have "directions for dummies" as to how to copy cam corder movies from the PC to a Disk? Sure would appreciate it!

Hello Coffeebreak, i can tell your just kidding, you are top rank in computer and you dont know how to Burn in Nero. you are kidding right?

Why in the world do you think I am "top rank" in computer? You couldn't be more wrong! No, I don't know how to burn in Nero... From what I have.. it doesn't say "burn a DVD" or anything like that. Granted it might say it in words I am not familiar with as these techie words change often, but I assure you... me and "top rank" have never met!

make a data cd in nero or make a data dvd u can do anyone of these two
