We all know for a fact that pacquiao is already a legend in boxing and he is well known not only here in the Philippines but all over the world as well. Many people admire him and look at him with high esteem and that includes me. Yes, I am his avid fan but I want him to stop fighting now as early as possible. I agree with his mother "aling dionisia" that he should end his boxing career now. I really enjoy watching his fights but I don't want to see him disabled when the time comes if he will still continue with this career. I am not that pessimistic though, but nobody knows what will happen in the future. I guess, he had already proven enough. He had already made our country famous throughout the world. I am just after his safety. How about you? May I know your opinion on this?

His legend is sealed. But I think he still has some things to do inside the ring. Personally, I'm naming 2 fights I want him to win before retiring.
1.) Make Juan Manuel Marquez shut his mouth. If he beats Marquez convincingly, no one will ever question his dominance in the lower weight classes.
2.) Beat Mayweather. I think its hard enough to make Mayweather fight Manny but if it does happen and Manny beats Mayweather, his business in the ring is done. You may rank Manny among the top 10 Greatest of ALL TIME and no one will ever question you.
For me, this two fights are needed for his legacy. If he clears these two fighters he will undoubtedly be the best fighter of this era.

If I remember right, pacquiao is already done with marquez, isn't he? Well anyway, If negotiations will push through with mayweather, I do hope that pacquiao will still win. Let's just pray to that. Thanks for responding. Have a nice day!

Oh! I see your point now tokouchi. Well, Manny will definitely beat Marquez on their 3rd bout if ever. That will surely stop him from too much talking. Thanks again for sharing me your views. Happy mylotting!

The controversies are still lingering between Pacman and Marquez. The 1st bout was a draw (Pacman should have won but there was a mistake in scoring the 3 knockdowns in the 1st round by one judge) and the 2nd bout where Manny won via Split decision (which IMO Marquez won). So in my mind, and in the mind of other keen boxing observers it's 1-1 (I believe that Roach is thinking of the same which is why he never rules out a 3rd bout against Marquez).
If Pacquiao destroys Marquez, the doubts will be gone.

Hi, I am also a fan of Pacman and I'm getting excited of his next fight against Floyd. I hope he could win the match.

Hi santos_mlirs!
I think that's the danger and price of boxing, being a physical sport that you will get hurt in your every fight. We could say that Manny have already achieved all the prestigious award and recognition in boxing. For me, I'll be giving Manny two more last fights before he finally consider retiring. Whatever the outcome of these 2 fights, his name will forever be remembered in boxing history.
Have a nice day!

Yes, I agree with you. His name will forever be remembered in the boxing history. It's good that you're just giving him 2 more last fights and you're already considering him to retire unlike others who still want him to continue in his boxing career and don't care about his welfare at all. Thanks very much for sharing me your views. Happy Mylotting!

Maybe Manny Pacquiao will decide to stop boxing if he defeated all boxers standing. I think he still have a plan to fight Mayweather I am not sure if he still make it to win considering Mayweather skills inside the ring and his speed, maybe that's a great match for a lifetime to watch.

Yes, it's good if that will be the case, but what if, it turned out to be the other way around? Well, anyway if that fight with Mayweather will push through, I do hope that he will win. Thanks for responding jlamela!

I guess Mommy Dionisia fears that Manny might have the same fate as Z Gorres--winning the fight but ending up in the hospital in a coma. Who is left standing to fight our Manny Pacquiao? Is seven titles not enough yet? Maybe it is time for him to prove himself in another field. It is better to retire a winner and healthy than to be forced into retirement because of loss or injury.

Yes, that's really my point. He should retire now while he is still healthy because eventually all the beatings that he will sustain in his every fight will surely have an effect on his health someday. I really don't want that to happen to him. I want him to retire still as a winner. Thanks for responding. Have a nice day!

I think the decision is on Manny Pacquiao right now he going to continue fighting. We know that boxing is also dangerous like what happened to Gorrez. I think he knows that already because he continue winning his boxing career going to continue and the promoter would not allow him to stop because he bringing so much money to them.

Yes, they are all after the money that he will be bringing to them. For sure, they will not allow him to stop. I hope Manny will also think about his health. I hope he will come to realize this early. Even if he has all the money in the world, if he is already disabled, money can't do anything for him anymore. Have a nice day!

In the end it will still be Manny who will decide on that. It seems he is in peak of his career. I think this is the reason why he is trying his luck on politics to somehow sustain himself. But I guess he has to prove himself on that area and try his luck too. If he could establish himself a good track record in politics I think he can retire as a boxer that has gained a lot of recognition from his boxing peers.

Yes, it's true. It will still be Manny who will decide on this of course. As to politics, it's up to him but I think that even if he will not go into politics, he will still be able to sustain himself. It will just be a matter of making wise decisions on how he is going to invest his money. Thanks for sharing me your views. Happy mylotting!
