Do you think that everything that happens has a purpose?

Nothing happens without a purpose. Most of us have heard that statement at one time or another, the question is, how many of us really believe it? We have all experienced things for which we could see no purpose, especially at the time that it happened or was happening. Sometimes when we look back later in life, it may take on a different perspective and we can better understand why it happened that way. What are your thoughts?

yes, I believe that all events have a purpose but only god knows. In hours or days in which we always do activities and see what the day is, whether something is a good or bad. If something bad happens we may see a backward and looking about whether the mistakes we did. All human beings are destined path, and can not interfered.

I do not quite catch the discussion, but just want to share my understanding about the purpose of life. As a mature person, we set up a target or goal, and do whatever possible to become competent for accomplishing the target. Some might not get over there, but at least they have experienced the process, and enjoy a substantial part of it. Not everybody has high goals, and even less could atain the high goals, 20% at the most. The majority are content to what they have access to. There should be no regret, if they have tried, and no complaint, if they are smart.

Hi zhuhuifen, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I guess I didn't explain things well enough. By everything happening for a purpose,I meant on a larger scale, that it was planned before we came into this life that we are experiencing today. Is it our destiny to experience the things that we do in life? I believe that it is, that we choose the things that we encounter here. How we handle each of these and whether or not we learn from them is our choice. Blessings.

Yes, Pose123, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Whether these things are good or bad, all these will accomplish the purpose that God wants for a person. He has a reason why He allows certain circumstances to happen in our lives. The blessings magnify His goodness while the trials and testings are for our strengthening, our lack maybe for us to better know Him as our Great Provider and our abundance to teach us to share with others. In all things, He accomplishes His purposes, even if sometimes we do not understand His ways.

Yes I do believe in that. Everything that happens comes from the will of God and has a purpose why it happens. Whether it's bad or good things happen unless we recognize the message that God transpired through an event in our life we can say that everything has a purpose. But sometimes we take as a "karma" "curse"if we experienced negative in our life, we just have to think that there are less fortunate people who experienced more than what you have experienced. So, good or bad things comes along our way we should still give thanks to God and ask for more blessings to come over because God never gives any event that we cannot find solution to it.

I believe that everything happens has a purpose. It's just like destiny and whatever happens, something in your mind would push you to do things even though it's right or wrong. Am I right?

As my husband likes to say "all things happen for a reason, and some if only to prove a bad example." Things happen because they were meant to either because something good was meant to happen, or something bad happened if only to teach us a lesson. Nothing happens by accident.

I most definately believe and know that everythign happens for a reason..even the harshest of experiences have purpose....Sometimes though for some ppl yes it is hard to realize it in the beginning or to see it...it was for me for the longest time....but once you really do believe it and "get it" I guess you could say, you see it generally right away or pretty damn close to right away..Of course when it comes to bad things, having the knowledge doesnt stop one from going through the pain and sorrow of harsh things - thats human nature ya know..

Hi Ravenladyj, You seem to have things figured out pretty well, thanks for sharing. I agree that the pain and sorrow is there to and we hopefully learn from it. I also believe that we had a say in the experieces that we would have before coming here. How we handle these experiences and how much we learn from them is our choice. Blessings.

I think everything happens with a purpose. May be what is not good for you will be good for some one else. I do believe this concept Pose, I think Hinduism also believes so. I think you fit very much into Hinduism Pose. I wish you read Ramayan, Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita. I bet you would love them.

Hi vijayanths, Thank you for sharing and I'm sure that we have many of the same views. I don't think that it really matters whether you learn life's lessons from one Holy book or another but you are probably right in saying that I would love these writings. Blessings.

Hello Pose,
I think that everything happens for a particular purpose or reason. We may not know it immediately but in time we will just realize that experiencing something was worth it because we learned something in it. Even if we have problems, these will help us become stronger and smart.
Take care and happy mylotting red_amethyst

Yes evrything has a purpose maybe we just don't know the reason but we will know it if the worse scenario is already finish. At times that you are in this kind of situation and you think that life is a crap think about God and talk to him. Maybe worse things happens because God wants you to back to him or if you are with God but same thing happen? He is just testing your faith. So continuously trust God and nothing is impossible. He has a purpose for everything!
Godbless you!

Hello pose, I've heard that too, about how there's a reason for everything that takes place. It's a nice thing to believe in as it indicates that there might be some kind of higher intelligence looking out for us! I've also heard the saying that there are no conincidences! Life is strange with its twists and turns. I believe in something but I'm struggling to put into words how it works exactly. I believe in this new teaching or perhaps it's not so new about the Law of Attraction and the Cosmic Ordering System! This goes on the basis that, whatever you put out there in terms of your thoughts good or bad tends to come back at you. Everything happens for a reason and I'm thinking that this may relate to the thoughts we are putting out there into the big wide Universe! This is quite a difficult thing for me to explain though. Andrew

Hi Andrew, Thank you for sharing this and I agree, it's not easy for anyone to explain, but I think you are on the right tract. Although I can't prove it, I could never doubt but that we are spiritual beings and that there is an order to the universe. I feel certain there is a purpose for everything that happens and that it is always for the best although we may not understand at the time. I too believe that there are no coincidences. We are not to condemn or judge another, because we cannot see the big picture. Blessings.

Well i have come to grips with everything happens for a reason. For every action theres a reaction. But we will still question the reason behide something.
