Do you get sleep only after getting convenient posture?

When my son was a child, when I put him to sleep, he used to turn this side that side and after getting a convenient position, he was falling asleep. Even for me, I go on taking sides, fold this leg, stretch that leg and after getting a comfortable posture, I will fall asleep. Do you also adjust for a comfortable posture before sleeping or just go to sleep as soon as you lie down on bed?

Hi Buchi, if I'm really exhausted I can fall asleep easily. Sleeping posture is no longer important for me. Yeah, this always happens during the long distance journey. I have experienced this numerous times while riding on a bus or train for hours. I would feel really fatigue easily when having sightseeing trip in group. Therefore I would get into sleep fast and easily while travel in the moving vehicle with air con
I like lying on my back once I get on my bed during my bedtime. I think this is the most suitable and comfy posture for me to get into sound sleep. I hug my soft and comfortable pillow instead of resting my head on it

I have received two comments with similar story from you dear. Seems that you have some problem when submitting the post. Sometime I do come across the same situation. If tt takes quite a long time to upload the post. I couldn't and will cancel it and resend the post again. Oops.... when the page pops up I see two similar post as well
I have another soft pillow which is rather harder. I rest both my legs on it. It’s quite comfortable and can get into sleep fast. The weather here is rather cold during the wee hours. When waking up I find the pillow is on top of my feet. I think my feet is good in finding warm place eh....

Even I have the habit of hugging a soft pillow to sleep. If I do not get sleep also, the moment I hug the pillow, I go to sleep. Have a nice day Ikbooi dear.

I too hug my soft pillow and sleep sometimes. If I do not get sleep, I hug a soft pillow and I get the sleep very early.

If I am feeling too sleepy, in any posture i will sleep. Otherwise, I will sleep in the sideways with a pillow by my side, cover myself entirely with a blanket and can able to sleep comfortably

I think for many of us, pillow is the source of getting sleep fast. That is why I keep two pillows for head and two pillows extra in the side.

Hi Buchi,
To be very frank I can't recollect this about the posture of sleep because I am very tired at the time of sleep and I may fall asleep soon. I will observer tonight how I am sleeping. Actually both of my sons are fighting at the time of sleep, elder one wants to sleep in my side younger wants to sleep in between me and his brother. So everyday I have to play as a mediator in between them to calm down both.

Ha Ha Ha. So already you are tired after a day long work in your work place and at home. On top of it, by doing moderator work, I think you will go to sleep before your children's fight is settled.

Oh yes, I do turn left and right first before I found my exact comfort position. But I also have to be wearing a comfortable night-gown and most important is a comfortable pillow. otherwise, like if I have to sleep in a hotel when I'm away or at a friend's house, it can take me 1 or 2 hours before I can snooze off.

Very true. Suitable pillow is very very essential. I need height in my pillow. Usually I use two pillows to sleep. If I go elsewhere, it will be a problem. If they give two pillows, then I will immensely thank them. Now-a-days I started taking an air pillow with me, when I am going out of station.

I have to adjust myself, otherwise I just can't fall asleep! Unless I'm seriously tired, in which case I simply fall onto the bed and I'm out like a light. But normally I crawl into bed, turn onto one side [where I'm halfway on my stomach], put one arm under my pillow and the other hand under my cheek, then I fall asleep. But then, sometimes I just can't get comfortable no matter what!

Exactly, the position in which we felt comfortable to sleep is not comfortable on the next day. I do not know why. I keep on taking sides till I go into deep sleep.

The problem with me is this, if I follow the same posture next day, I do not fall asleep soon. I have to see that is convenient for me that day. May be it depends on where the body is too stressed like I stood for long time, I folded my legs for a long time and so on. So the body requires pressure or no pressure on such places.

Yes. With a comfortable position of each individual, the sleep will easily fall on us.

Yes, usually, I can get sleep only after getting convenient posture because a convenient posture is useful to help us have a good rest.
A convenient posture means that we can relax ourselves in full detail. Every night, I will try to find the best proper posture to get sleep. Of course, after the whole day's work, if I am tired, then I often go to sleep as soon as I lie down the bed without a convenient posture.
For the children, it is very necessary to help them adjust for a comfortable posture, which is helpful to their health.

Yes actually. If I am sleeping at home, I have to be face down, one arm tucked under myself, and the other on top of the pillow over my head. Unless I'm drunk then I can fall asleep anywhere lol

Yes this is what I meant in my discussion. I was thinking whether people will understand my thought. You are true CaptHowdy410, even I have to fold one leg, stretch one leg keep my hand under one pillow and catch the pillow with another hand. Then only I will fall into sleep soon. Thanks for posting.
