What is the Obama Administration doing for the poor?

The election of Obama to the office of president of the United States of America greatly increased hope for many, that is especially true for the vast number of low income families. people in this group envisioned financial relief that would give them back a sense of selfrespect, for them the feeling of being in control slowly sliped away as making ends meet became a tremendous challenge. homes was lost, Children went to bed hungry because their parents had to choose between paying the rent and buying groceries. I ask you, has things gotten beter? what is really being done to bring much needed relief to the millions of Americans that live below the poverty line? When I look around I still see people being evicted from the houses that has been home for many years, I see the belly of Children swollen from lack of food, I see the old folks die because they can't afford health care. I'm sure Obama is trying his best but for some his best is too little, too late.what's your opinion?
