I still do at 35 years of age, mainly when I'm stressed, I can't seem to break the habit.

I did as a child .. bitten to nothing they were .. mum tried all the treatments .. she painted on the bitter varnish .. yummy soon had that chomped off .. applied plasters, sucked one off in the night and it nearly choked me .. scolded me .. just made me bite them even more ...
Then I got the fingers of both hands trapped in a slamming door .. OUCH!! I had to have my fingers bandaged for quite a while, and when the badages came off my finger ends were tender for weeks ...
Thankfully I haven't bitten my finger nails since then ..

No, but I did when I was a child. Sorry you still do it. It's a tough habit to quit.

Yes I bite my nails as well. I have ever since I was little and I just can not stop. I have tried this no-bite polish stuff as well, but even that doesn't work. I bite it, taste the bad stuff, and just keep biting. I want to stop, but I just can't. If anyone knows a remedy or something to make someone stop biting their nails, please let me know ASAP!

I do. Mostly when I'm idle. Unfortunately, my daughter is picking that habit up too.

I have been doing that for 21 years...
One day I was looking at my VERY SHORT nails and thought I need to stop it...
I am very proud cause I did stop biting them,,... now they are long.. they look beautifull!
