They are healthy, nice, good looking, they have money; but they are not happy!!! Why? What a people, a human need to be all happy? Is something what humans want and they don t have? Sometimes i think that peoples need something more to be happy...but what is thin thing? I am sure that a simple life can make somebody to feel happy if he or she have....what must he or she have? Why do you think that peoples are day by day unhappy even they have many things in life? What they need?

Hi Icesmile, I am wondering too why this is happening to us people. it seems like we don't have any contentment in life. Rich or poor, whatever status and role in life there's always something lacking why people can't sustain happiness and satisfaction. Something missing is always missing. I may not have everything in life but i manage to live a happy life with my family. being happy is a choice.

Hi Hatley, thanks for the affirmation.... another thing is we don't have to rely on somebody for us to be happy let's do our best to make others happy. Cheers!

This is good topic. Many of them do not thim=nk of these. i think our peoples are not satisfied by what they have. All have to think and get changed. Then only one can enjoy and be happy.

I think every person is different. When I am on a vacation, sometimes I look around at all of the other travelers and I think that I am one of the few people there that are happy. Happiness is a state of mind. Many people could be a lot happier, but they insist on being negative. Even some of the wealthier people have a lot to be happy about, but instead they insist on worrying too much and being grouchy. I think it is good to be thankful for what we have and life will be a lot better.

True happiness is immaterial. You can have money, looks and health and still be unhappy on the inside if you feel that something is missing. It is a mindset and happiness is different for us all. No one really has EVERYTHING they want in life.

...Hi icesmile, Even though people have money, cars, fur coats, jewelry and other tangible things, they may be very empty inside. If you don't have an element of goodness inside where you care about other people enough to reach out and help someone or you are not willing to sacrifice something in order to make another person happy or relieve their sadness in some way, then you find yourself by yourself with only your "things" to make you happy and those things will not make you happy. What's the saying, money can't buy happiness, I do believe that. Money is needed to pay the bills, but it does not guarantee that you will be happy. There are a lot of people of modest means who are happier by far than some rich people. Take care.

People are greedy. we will never be satisfied. When we have ten thousand dollars, we want a millon. The more we have, the more we ask!!!

Unhappy people are usually unhappy because they have not mastered the ability to be happy within themselves. They try and gain happiness through ignoring the fact that what they search is within themselves. Moreover the unhappy people have a compulsion to wallow in their misery. They are stuck inside of their discontent and bitter heart and can't get out. "People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be."

I firmly believe that to be happy or not, is in our own hands. Most people compare themselves too much with their neighbor, friends, colleagues and better-off family members and that is a prime cause for unhappiness. Each individual, each family, each child, each relation is unique and can never be compared with another. The moment I start comparing the grades of my friend’s son with my own son, I am bringing on unhappiness upon myself. This is just a one off example but I hope you understand what I mean to say. Its in our own hands to appreciate what we have and be thankful and happy for that…instead we waste precious moments whining and complaining and spreading unhappiness all around.

The poorer people in the world that have the least seem to be the happiest ones. They live a simple life and like to have quality time with their family. Many of the richer people in the world have the most and yet are really miserable. Some people wonder why because they have large amounts of money. The fact that such a person can buy anything he or she wishes doesn't make the purchase feel special. It a poor person saves up for an item he or she will be grateful and delighted with the purchase. The best things to have in life are good health and good luck. Happiness is not something that all people have. It helps when people are grateful for what they get in life and that simple pleasures mean a lot to them. Like a bike ride through lovely countryside would make me really happy.

icesmile people are not content because they have spoiled themselves, they cannot be content if they do not have more and more and more. they do not realize that happiness does not come from things but from inside yourself. no one can make you happy unless you make yourself happy. to love and be loved is the epitome of happiness but even now as a widow I can be happy because I want to be happy ev en here where I do not really want to be. I can help someone else and that makes me feel good, I can cheer someone up and then I am cheered too. my son when he comes to see me makes me happy, my friends here when they stop and talk to me that makes me happy. mylot friends sent me beautiful birthday greetings and that made me very happy. so things do not bring happiness, but people can if you are already open to happiness within yourself.

it is all about their views on life. Why we are not happy? It is just that we have too much worries, too much fears, or too much uncontentment, i think. To be happy, based on the satisfaction of the basic physical needs, one just need contentment, and peace in the mind , one state which can be reached when he/she just accepts all kinds of upcoming possibilities he/she faces.

There is one thing far beyond luxurious cars, villas and even fortune. It is the sense of achievement granted by other people who are willing to recognize your contrbution to your company, family, nation ,etc. A man is not able to be really happy purely due to his own appearance or money but by making other people happy. The essence of a man does not come in what he has but what he does.

Satisfaction i believe contributes much on these unhappy filthy rich people. These people do not satisfy for everything they have, for who they are. They just have no satisfaction. They knew that what they presently have do not satisfy them. They still want to reach more and more realizable goals in life and more opportunities. Life for them is a never ending fulfillment.

I think it is in the nature of some humans to want more, no matter what they have. I am not like that. I have very little (compared to the rich, that is, compared to the poor i have a lot), but I am content with what I have. I don't need to keep getting more and more and more just because our consumer society says i do. Sadly, not everyone feels that way, and some people just want more and more and more, and are never satisfied, no matter how much they have.

I think the secret to being happy is being content with what you have. When we are able to say to ourselves that we have enough, then we find our happiness. Unfulfilled wants are often the cause of much unhappiness. A heavenly Father makes sure that we have what we need and if we know this and believe this, we are spared from much anxiety. Wanting things that are not meant for us can only lead to frustration, disappointments and much heartache.

Hi, maybe just because peoples want everytime more and more, and like complicated life. Many of us don t apreciate simple life, want to have a complicated life, with many, many things , what in a simple life don t need. So, maybe is better for us to say thank you for what we have already.\ Of course that all want to be happy...but what is happiness? who knows this answer?
